Make the most of the cold snap and knit a last-minute project like this:

Knitting pattern - New Zealand boot cuffs

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

.. knitted in rows or in the round - your choice

These easy and quick-to-knit cuffs make a stylish top for your boots.

The stitch pattern used here is also wonderfully suitable for scarves or (Möbius) loops, as it looks the same on both sides.

Included in the download (PDF format):

  • Knitting pattern boot cuffs knitted in rows – also for scarves
  • Knitting pattern boot cuffs knitted in the round with a set of double-pointed needles or
  • with a circular knitting needle for a loop
  • Separate PDF: Knitting Basics
Material:
Depending on the cuff height, 50 g to 100 g of a yarn with 50 g - approx. 100 m, used here: Adriafil New Zealand Print, 75% wool, 25% acrylic, 100 g – 200 m, needle size 4.5.

A hat like this is quick to finish, too:

Knitting pattern - easy cable-pattern hat 'Killary'

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

This PDF knitting pattern for head circumference 53 cm to 56 cm includes the photos from the image gallery.

The hat is knitted in the round.

General knitting skills are required.

The nice thing about the pattern used here is that for smaller/larger head circumferences, fewer or more stitches can be knitted in the “ribbed section,” allowing the model to be adjusted to any head size.

We need:
100 g Fila Doro Killary or Schulana Donegal Tweed, gauge according to ball band: 16 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm, 95% virgin wool, 5% cashmere, 50 g = 95 m yardage, -knitting needles 4.5 – 5.5, used here: size 5.0 circular knitting needle with 40 cm cable length (60 cm cable length is a bit tight at the start of knitting, but can also be used); stitch marker, cable needle, yarn needle for weaving in ends, measuring tape, scissors

A quick little knitted gift:

Knitting pattern for baby socks with cable pattern

cash gifts, jewelry, or similar items. I once packaged my wedding cash gift this way.

  • Supplementary handwritten sketch as a PDF
  • PDF baby sock size chart for sizes 15–20
  • PDF sock size chart from size 22 (up to 47)
Materials needed: for sizes 15 to 22, approx. 15 g 4-ply sock yarn (leftover yarn), set of double-pointed needles size 2.5, cable needle, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle.

Or mini socks—for example, as a keychain:

Knitting pattern for preemie socks/baby/doll socks/keychain..

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Sweet preemie socks for a total foot length from 4.5 cm can also be used as little doll socks or a keychain and/or as gift packaging for money, or, or...

The pattern, together with the sock chart, can be used for additional sock sizes up to shoe size 20 .

The download includes 4 files:

  • PDF preemie sock chart up to size 20 for baby socks
  • PDF pattern for the individual preemie socks, 4.5 cm to 7.5 cm total foot length
    (23 pages incl. pictures)
  • PDF pattern with detailed photos for the technique (using newborn socks as an example – 17 pages)
  • PDF handwritten sketches (using a newborn sock as an example – 2 pages)

General knitting skills (as well as knitting stitches together) are sufficient.

Required materials for 1 pair of mini socks up to newborn size: approx. 10 g 4-ply sock yarn, or leftover yarn.
You will also need a set of double-pointed needles size 2.5, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends, and possibly a key ring

A poncho - last minute??? Oh yes, I crocheted this poncho in just 1 weekend - with thick yarn, of course:

Crochet pattern for a poncho with Möbius cowl collar (loop) - easy

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Wonderfully quick and easy to crochet...

.. decide while crocheting how
large the poncho should be – you simply stop crocheting when it
looks right or the yarn runs out.

The poncho and Möbius cowl are made with thick gradient yarn, 100 g – 100 m,
and a size 8.0 crochet hook. Yarn required for both pieces approx. 700 g.

The PDF pattern includes the poncho and Möbius cowl and is illustrated, but it is not a crochet course in itself.

These crochet skills are needed:
chain stitches, single crochet, slip stitches, crocheting in rows, crocheting in rounds.

By the way: with a Möbius cowl, the pattern you make is mirrored,
i.e. one horizontal half looks like a right
outside, and the second half looks like a wrong-side pattern inside.
This creates sophisticated effects, depending on how the cowl is worn
and how the pattern falls.

This colorful flower meadow instantly brings spring into your home. The individual pieces make wonderful gifts, and each one can be crocheted at the last minute. I’ve given away a few egg cozy sets, and everyone loved them.

For example, the placemat can also be crocheted as a small coaster; add the egg cozies and a few scattered flowers—and you’ve got a beautiful gift set.

The pattern is well-suited for beginners (with basic skills) and includes all the individual pieces. Various versions of the egg cozies are shown.
