The shawl "Purple" in various shades of violet can be worn in many different ways thanks to its size, but can also easily be made smaller.

Using the materials specified in the pattern, the shawl "Purple" will be 1.80 m wide. I personally chose a cake yarn made from a cotton/polyacrylic blend: pleasant to work with and comfortable to wear.

The pattern includes a knitting chart. Basic knitting skills (knit and purl stitches, yarn overs, etc.) are required.

You will need the following materials to make it:
  • Cake yarn, 1000 m yardage, 3-ply, in a white/violet gradient (50% cotton, 50% polyacrylic)
  • Knitting needle size 3
  • Needle for weaving in ends
  • Scissors
Here is the pattern:

Triangle shawls are generally well suited for gradient yarns. For the shawl “November Rain,” I used sock yarn with rather shorter gradients. But I can also imagine it working very well with longer color gradients.
The pattern is a simple lace pattern that is a little reminiscent of raindrops. You can knit the shawl in any size you like. The yarn usage will depend on that.
The pattern is written out row by row and also shown in knitting charts.

Here’s the shawl.

This triangular shawl, which is knitted from exactly one skein of sock yarn, is a great project for many relaxing hours of knitting. A simple pattern that you quickly get the hang of and that shows off colors very well.

You can find the pattern here.

This triangular shawl is knitted from the bottom point upward using sock yarn. Thanks to this construction, you can stop at any time once the shawl has reached the desired size (or when you run out of yarn). A simple and relaxing pattern.

Here’s the pattern.
