These door hangers are very useful. They naturally spread good cheer, and they also guard the doors in the house. That's extremely practical on the bathroom door, the bath, but also on the children's room or home office.

They come as a guardian owl and a guardian bear. Once you've crocheted one, you can already prepare yourself for the whole family to order their guardians from you.

They are quick and easy to crochet. Even beginners will get along wonderfully with the very well-described pattern. Many individual steps are shown with photos.

And here you can get both patterns as a value bundle—basically the family pack.

This tissue box with butterflies and hearts looks great anywhere. It hides a whole pack of 100 Tempo tissues. The box is very easy to crochet, even for beginners with basic knowledge. Every step is well explained, and there are photos too. By the way, it's a great tip for using up leftover yarn.

If you would also like to crochet a small pouch for 10 Tempo tissues—yes, you can get this pattern too. The pouch is also very easy and quick to crochet, and suitable for beginners as well. And if you're still looking for a last-minute gift, you've come to the right place.

This belt with a pouch is very useful if you’re wearing leggings, for example. It fits the most important things, such as 1 tissue plus a cell phone.

The belt can be crocheted for any size. Everything is explained clearly and with photos, but some basic crochet knowledge and a bit of practice are helpful.

This gnome family not only looks cute, it’s also extremely useful. For example, small items like buttons fit inside. They also make great egg cozies. Children are sure to have lots of ideas for what to hide in them.

At my house, they store small needlework supplies. And in the gnome house, which is also available with them, I store leftover yarn. There’s room in the front door, for example, for crochet hooks. This house is also a highlight on the breakfast table as a bread roll basket.

The house / utensil basket as well as the gnomes are very easy to crochet and suitable for beginners. Basic knowledge should be present.

The gnome house with the gnomes is available as a value bundle — click here for the crochet pattern.

Practical for on the go:

LOOK IT UP instead of Calculating - PDF Table for Knitting and Crochet

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Here it is—the much-requested PDF table for determining the number of stitches to cast on: LOOK IT UP instead of Calculating—whether printed out or on a smartphone, always close at hand—this PDF table is simply practical for on the go.

Simply crochet or knit a gauge swatch (at least 10 cm x 10 cm), count how many stitches make up 10 cm, and then conveniently look up in the table how many stitches need to be cast on for your desired measurement.

For pattern instructions
"number of stitches divisible by ... plus   ..." I recommend this Excel table (click me).

Versatile uses:

Tunisian crochet - very easy -  pillow-bag-case-hiking seat cushion

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Tunisian crochet is easy. Just try it using these patterns (see image gallery).Basic crochet knowledge is enough. The various simple Tunisian stitch patterns are described in detail and illustrated.

4 in 1 PDF pattern:

  • a pillow 33 cm x 33 cm, “filled” with 2 towels or stuffing, etc., or 40 cm x 40 cm or custom size
  • easy to repurpose as a bag/pouch.
  • also a seat pad for hiking and
  • an eyeglass case for sunglasses
Depending on the color combination, the textured pattern always looks a little different. The dimensions can be easily adjusted to any desired size.

You will need: 100 g in the main color (turquoise here) and 50 g in the secondary color (beige here) of a yarn 50 g – 100 m, for hook size according to the ball band 3.5 – 4.0, matching Tunisian crochet hook or a knooking needle, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends, pins;
Gauge according to the ball band of the yarn used here: 18.5 sts x 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
The amount of yarn is also enough for a 40 cm x 40 cm pillow. For larger pillows, please allow for correspondingly more yarn.

Included in the download :

  • PDF pattern for pillow/bag, seat pad and eyeglass case, 23 pages, illustrated
  • PDF pattern: blog post “Converting gauge – here’s how”

Here are my patterns too, for practical and useful items.

“Hearts” tray crochet pattern
The “Hearts” tray (size: 13 cm x 19 cm) is versatile and very functional. Use it as a tray for your phone, glasses, or notebook. For crochet accessories, so they always have their own place and are easy to find, or simply to protect the table or phone from scratches. It is certainly suitable as a little present/gift for Valentine’s Day, birthday, or Mother’s Day .

“Citrone” bag for PET bottles/or for shopping sewing pattern Size: 37cm x 37cm x 20cm (W x H x D) The practical “Citrone” PET bottle bag is easy to sew and comes in bright summer colors. An eye-catcher. Difficulty level: easy, ideal for beginners. For the bag you need: fabric: approx. 50cm x 140cm; the fabric should hold its shape well (in my example: transparent tablecloth fabric), matching thread and ribbons: green and yellow, 1m each.

If you sew a lot, you definitely need a pincushion! A cactus like this isn’t just extremely useful—it’s also very decorative. And it’s really easy to crochet. All you need is a bit of leftover yarn in green, brown, and terracotta, plus any pretty bright color for the flower.

You definitely need pot holders if you don’t want to burn your fingers while cooking. The blue milk jug with white polka dots is very easy to crochet. You’ll find a chart in the pattern. There’s also a table that describes each row stitch by stitch. It was crocheted using Catania by Schachenmayr (1 skein of blue and a remnant of natural white).
