Mermaid Blanket for a Child

Has anyone here ever knitted a mermaid blanket????? I downloaded a beautiful pattern yesterday, but I can’t make heads or tails of the instructions????. I’m not a beginner, but this one is hard to understand :-(
Now I’m sitting here.....with the pattern and yarn, and nothing’s working????

Did you get the pattern from Crazypatterns?
If so, I’d recommend that, if anything’s unclear, you first message the pattern’s author and ask for help.
That usually clears things up quickly!

Yes, I have the pattern from crazypatterns, and the author is OZ Verlag!

Did you send a private message to OZ-Verlag?

They’re probably not working there today...
