A whole meadow of flowers is blooming on your breakfast table! The crocheted blossoms of snowdrops, daffodil, bellflower, and tulip keep your eggs warm, bring color to the table, and make such a pretty and useful decoration.

For each egg cozy, you need about 30 g of cotton yarn in the main color (I used Catania by Schachenmayr) and a leftover bit of green yarn, as well as a 2.5 mm crochet hook.

Easter just isn’t the same without bunnies! These two funny egg cozies aren’t just a hit at Easter, they can brighten up your breakfast table all year round.

They’re easy to crochet, and you only need a very small amount of yarn, so they’re perfect for using up a few small bits of leftover yarn. I recommend Catania cotton yarn by Schachenmayr. Besides the yarn, you’ll also need a 2.5 mm crochet hook, some stuffing, and embroidery thread.

do you find it boring to put the same egg cozy on the table for everyone?
in my shop you’ll find more funny egg cozies
The bunny is made with a size 2 hook and is about 18 cm tall,
all egg cozies are great for crocheting up leftover yarn!

by the way, the egg cozies are also a fun decorating idea,
e.g. as edge sitters
or with an LED tea light in their belly

have fun at breakfast

Sheep Egg Cozy Crochet Pattern
Click here to go directly to the crochet pattern

What you’ll need:
  • Approx. 15 g of yarn (it’s best to use 100% cotton yarn, as this makes the egg cozies nice and sturdy. Of course, you can also use any other yarn) in white or brown, suitable for a 3 mm crochet hook. Leftover yarn in green.
  • A darning needle and scissors
  • Some stuffing for the head
  • 3 mm crochet hook.
  • Googly eyes and superglue
To give the sheep a better fleece look, I crochet with “bobbles.” I explain these at the beginning of the pattern and illustrate everything with pictures. That way, you’ll understand this technique very quickly ;-). All the remaining steps are also illustrated and explained with lots of pictures. Difficulty level: medium, so you should already have some crochet experience ;-) and not choose these sheep as your very first crochet project. These sheep egg cozies are a super cute eye-catcher on any breakfast table! Also ideal as a gift ;-) !!!
