My question: What does (1 sc, inc) x 6 18 sts mean?
(2 sc, inc) x 6 24 sts
Please explain exactly.

Hello Heike,

(1 sc, inc) x6 .... 18 sc =
(crochet 1 sc, increase in the next stitch) everything in parentheses 6 times in total ....
or, in other words, increase every 2nd sc. (2 sc, inc) x6 .... increase every 3rd sc
