Dear users, dear authors,
I’ve booked the entire zoo so we’ll have plenty of space to admire the animals at our leisure.
Here in this thread, you can download or showcase your very best creations again.
Enjoy!

@Authors:
2–3 patterns per author are enough. Don’t forget to include a link, a picture, and the usual information.

Ring-tailed lemurs have a home in many zoos. Karim the Ring-tailed Lemur, a cute little playmate, wants to be cuddled and also likes to laze around sometimes. Who will give this little rascal a new home?

Karim the Ring-tailed Lemur will be 25 cm tall when sitting, using the specified materials.

The pattern contains many step-by-step photos that make it easier to recreate. However, basic crochet skills (single crochet, spiral rounds, etc.) are required.

The following materials are needed to make it:
  • 100 g cotton yarn in medium gray
  • 50 g cotton yarn in black
  • 50 g cotton yarn in white
  • 25 g cotton yarn in brown
  • leftover cotton yarn in pink (for the tongue)
  • one pair of safety eyes, 12 mm, in yellow-black
  • one safety eye, 12 mm, in black (as the nose)
  • stuffing
Here is the pattern:

Zebras can also be found in most zoos. Zacharias the Zebra, on the other hand, much prefers living in a nice, cozy home where he gets cuddled every now and then. With his long legs, even smaller hands can hold him and take him anywhere.

The pattern includes many step-by-step photos that make it easier to recreate. However, you should already have basic crochet skills (single crochet, increases and decreases, etc.).

Personally, I recommend cotton yarn for all my amigurumi projects.

The following materials are needed to recreate this project:
  • 100 g white cotton yarn
  • 50 g black cotton yarn
  • 50 g light gray cotton yarn
  • leftover red cotton yarn
  • a pair of 15 mm safety eyes in brown-black
  • stuffing
  • size 3 crochet hook
Using the materials listed, Zacharias will be approximately 46 cm tall

Bully is a very special elephant!
He especially loves splashing around in the water and has already brought out his swim ring and little sailboat. But what he loves even more is cuddling with someone. If you can’t visit him at the zoo, why not crochet him and bring him home!
You can crochet him with fluffy yarn like in the picture (the pattern also includes tips for crocheting with fluffy yarn), or you can use acrylic yarn and brush it afterwards. You’ll need about 1 ball of it, and then he will be about 20–22 cm tall.
Wouldn’t you like to have Bully at home too? Then get started right away!
You can get the pattern here!

You can crochet 3 zoo animals at once from a few scraps of leftover yarn. The hippo, lion, and monkey finger puppets will feel even more at home with you than at the zoo. The 3 finger puppets fit in any pants pocket and are quickly at hand when things threaten to get boring. They are not difficult to crochet and are especially popular with children. Also suitable as party favors for a children's birthday party.
Here’s the pattern!

Lio is the perfect companion for discovering the world; he stimulates babies’ senses with crinkling and rattling. The brave, cuddly snuggle lion becomes a loyal companion, comforter, and sleep aid, because he smells so wonderfully familiar, like Mom and Dad. You can make this sweet snuggle companion yourself with lots of love in every stitch using this pattern. The pattern is written in great detail over 20 pages, and many pictures help you with the process. To crochet the comforter, you will need:
  • A crochet hook, size 2–2.5
  • Yarn, I recommend Mondial bio soft Cotton 50g-180 m. This yarn is made of 100% organic cotton, is very soft, and has been tested for harmful substances, making it ideal for baby toys. My trusted supplier is Wollerino; there you can get all the colors I used for my snuggle lion. You can also use a different yarn, but you need to keep in mind that this will change the size of the cloth. You need:
  • Light yellow (color 191), for the belly side of the cloth, the muzzle, and the inner ears: 1–2 balls, 50g (depending on your crochet tension)
  • Black (color 200), scraps, for the eyes
  • Yellow (color 509), for the back side of the cloth, the head, the ears, and to crochet both sides of the cloth together: 1–2 balls, 50g (depending on your crochet tension)
  • Mandarin (color 161), for the mane and the little tail: 1x50 g
  • Scraps in taupe (color 822), for the nose and little paws
  • A darning needle for sewing in ends
  • A pair of scissors
  • A row marker or a thread in a contrasting color to mark the beginning of each round
  • Sewing thread in a matching color to sew on the head, eyes, mane, and paws.
  • Stuffing
  • Optional crinkle foil for the mane / rattle ball for the little tail (approx. 2.5 cm Ø)Click here to go directly to the pattern

Poldi is a small, playful elephant. ...Well, sort of.... He’s not quite an elephant—more like an elephant ball. Poldi is a toy ball with sound effects; it rattles and crinkles, making it ideal for little explorers. Poldi is the first little animal in my upcoming “KULLERCHEN” series; hopefully, more little animals will follow soon.To crochet this crackling and rattling ball, you’ll need: • A size 2–2.5 crochet hook • Yarn—I recommend Mondial Bio Soft Cotton (50 g–180 m); this yarn is made of 100% organic cotton, is very soft, and has been tested for harmful substances, making it ideal for baby toys. However, you can also use a different yarn. Pink, scraps for the cheeks;
brown, scraps for the freckles; teal, approx. 50g, for the ball, the trunk, and to crochet around the ears; mint, approx. 25g, for the ears, the hair, and the trunk; black, scraps to embroider the eyes. If you use a different yarn, you may need to adjust the quantities listed. • A darning needle for sewing • A pair of scissors • A row marker or a thread in a contrasting color to mark the beginning of each round • Sewing thread in a matching color for sewing on the head, hair, and cheeks. • Stuffing • Rattle disc • Crinkle foil or roasting bag (also crinkles very well) To crochet the little ball “Poldi,” you’ll need to know how to do the following: • Single crochet (sc) • Half double crochet (hdc) • Decreases, increases • Slip stitch • Magic ring • Double crochet (dc)Click here to go directly to the pattern

A hippo is, of course, a must-have in any zoo.

This cute hippo is not only lovely to look at and great for cuddling, it’s also a useful little helper!

But you can also simply make it as a comforter!

  • Stuffing

  • optional: 8 mm safety eyes and 6 cm hook-and-loop fastener

Required skills:

  • crocheting in
  • spiral rounds

  • Magic Ring

  • single crochet stitches
  • double crochet stitches

  • front and back post double crochet stitches

Timmy the XXL teddy bear is actually far too cuddly to live at the zoo. He makes a great gift for birthdays, Christmas, or other special occasions. So why not crochet this cuddly XXL teddy bear using fluffy yarn?

Timmy’s arms and legs are made with joint discs, so they’re fully movable. You’ll receive a detailed 22-page pattern with plenty of photos to help you recreate it quickly.
Also suitable for ambitious beginners.

You should be familiar with single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, chain stitches, and slip stitches. The teddy bear stands about 50 cm tall. (When using the specified hook size and yarn)

Materials needed:
  • Crochet with yarn, hook sizes 3–3.5, 160 m/50 g, in the colors white (1 skein of 50 g), teal (2 skeins of 50 g), and mint (3 skeins of 50 g). In this case, I used “Lara von Feria” fluffy yarn.
  • Crochet hooks sizes 3.5 and 4.5
  • Darning needle, long threading needle, pins
  • 4 joint discs, Ø 35 mm; 2 safety eyes, size 12 mm
  • Stuffing, pom-pom makers (3 cm and 7 cm)
