Versatile shawl:

Knitting pattern—Openwork shoulder shawl/scarf

Any yarn and size possible.

A feather-light gradient lace shawl (yarn used here: 150 g Austermann Caleido Lace for approx. 42 cm x 112 cm) in a simple openwork pattern that can be worn as a shoulder shawl, scarf, or even a hat scarf.

Basic knitting skills (casting on, knit and purl stitches, edge stitches, yarn overs / knit together, bind off) are sufficient for this simple openwork pattern.

This scarf has a very simple lace pattern and is knitted from sock yarn. In addition, it also has a cable pattern that creates a nice contrast to the lace.

You can find the pattern here.

Crochet pattern: triangular shawl for any yarn

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

For this triangular shawl for all seasons, you can basically use any yarn you like – the thinner, the more elegant. Size: any size.

For the size made here, approx. 70 cm x 162 cm, I used 350 g of
Schachenmayr Cotton Bamboo, 50 g – 120 m, hook size according to the ball band 3 –
4, here crocheted with a 4.0 mm crochet hook. For visual
reasons, I would not recommend thicker yarn. I decided for myself not to
block the shawl, as that makes the curves of the shell pattern stand out better –
but that’s a matter of taste.

These crochet skills are required:
chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, front post double crochet (explained).

The PDF pattern is illustrated over 15 pages, but it is not a crochet course. A link/video tip for a crochet course and more is included.

The PDF includes

  • in the first part, a detailed pattern with corresponding photos,
  • in the second part, a shorter version that is also illustrated, and
  • last but not least, a short version for a scarf/shawl variation.
No crochet chart - no gauge required.

“November Rain” is a triangular shawl with a lace pattern. This shawl is also knitted from sock yarn. The pattern is written out row by row and also shown in knitting charts. Spring is coming soon, but you could also knit yourself an “April Rain” shawl.

This infinity scarf features a simple lace pattern and comes in short and long versions, both with and without buttons. All of this is described in the pattern. You'll need thicker yarn for it (yardage 70 m per 50 g) and 5.5 mm needles.

You can find the pattern here.

Cold fall and winter days are no problem with this set in a lace pattern!
This combo consists of a headband and a loop/cowl.
The lace pattern is easy to work and warmer than you might think :-)

A detailed chart in knitting chart form guides you through the knitting process.

The pattern for the headband is designed for a head circumference of about 50-53 cm.
The loop/cowl has a diameter of about 130 cm.
However, it is simple to make it larger or smaller as needed.
Gauge is included as always - for any adjustments!

Autumn Leaves is a light and airy lace shawl with a simple pattern that spans only 8 stitches in width. Knitted with an I-cord edge so the edge won’t curl. It is absolutely suitable for beginners.
The finished shawl measures 40 cm wide and 184 cm long.
You will need lace yarn with approx. 800 m per 100 g.

“Elfenreigen” requires a bit of concentration, but it’s not difficult. The pattern spans 12 rows and is described row by row, but is also presented as a chart. You’ll need a lace yarn with at least 800m per 100g.
