Hi everyone,

I’d like to sew the Rockelinchen free pattern.
But I don’t understand the statement on page 4.
When do I use 8 strips and when 10, and why?

First of all, it’s always a good idea to contact the designer of the pattern directly, since they obviously know their pattern best.

Since this is a free pattern, I was able to take a look at it.
You’ll need both: 1 set of 10 strips (patterned, as shown in the skirt—I’ll call this A) and 1 set of 8 strips (solid-colored—I’ll call this B). You sew these together—9 pieces (ABABA) for the front and back. Then you sew the box pleats so that strip A is topstitched over strip B and B “peeks out” from under A.
