These cuddly warm baby pants are knitted from 6-ply sock yarn. The knitting pattern for the hat is included too. The measurements fit sizes 62 to 80.

The pattern can be worn on both sides. The pants are knitted seamlessly. Even beginners should do well with the pattern. Everything is explained clearly, partly with photos.

Here’s the knitting pattern for the baby pants in a set with the hat.

And here is the matching little jacket, knitted from the same yarn. Very simple, also seamless. The hat is included in this pattern again as well.

Here’s the knitting pattern for the baby jacket with hat.

This hat with a shawl collar is ideal for babies and toddlers because it can be opened at the front and keeps the head and neck nice and warm. Babies really don’t like having something pulled over their heads. The pattern describes each step in detail and includes lots of photos. This means that even beginners (with basic skills) can knit the hat successfully.

Knitting pattern for baby traditional vest size 86/92 with intarsia cable

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

For boys or girls, and not just during Oktoberfest season..

For this special sleeveless baby vest without buttons, we need:

150 g gray merino wool + 50 g red merino wool, here Schachenmayr Merino Extrafine 120, 50 g – 120 m yardage, used here: knitting needles 4.0 mm, cable needle, crochet hook 3.5 mm for the bow, stitch holder or similar for holding stitches, tapestry needle for weaving in ends, stitch marker is helpful.

The PDF pattern is illustrated.

The red cable on the back is made using the intarsia technique (illustrated explanation is included) and requires a little time and skill - so I would not recommend it for beginner knitters.

The cable also looks lovely in solid gray; the whole piece is then knitted up quite quickly. For knitting beginners, I therefore recommend knitting this vest completely without the cable and/or in one color .

Sock-Knitting Course for 4-ply yarn - all sizes for baby, children’s, women’s, and men’s socks

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Knitting socks (if desired, with leftover sock yarn) is wonderful - no matter where you are,

  • whether on the couch in rainy weather or a snowstorm
  • whether winter or summer
  • during a (work) break
  • in a boat on the lake/sea
  • at the beach
  • while traveling by train/plane
  • or, or...
...and both little and big feet will be delighted with the results...

This is an illustrated sock-knitting course based on baby socks size 15, knitted from 4-ply sock yarn, with charts for all sizes

Included in the download :

  • Main PDF pattern with detailed photos
  • hand-drawn sketches
  • baby sock chart for sizes 15 - 20
  • sock chart for sizes 22 - 47
Integrated into the main pattern is a baby mitten pattern in short form, since parts of the baby sock pattern can be used for it.

Don’t be intimidated! It’s harder to describe the process than to knit the socks.

Required materials:
4-ply sock yarn (wonderfully soft options include, for example, Ferner “Lungauer
Sockengarn” merino sock yarns or Austermann “Step” with aloe vera
and jojoba, or “Comfort” with cashmere)

  • approx. 15 g for the baby socks,
  • approx. 10 g for the baby mittens,
  • for adult socks up to size 44: 100 g,
  • if larger than size 44, then 150 g is required.
set of double-pointed needles 2.5, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.

This is baby's first cuddly teddy bear, knitted by Grandma or Mom herself. It is very easy to knit, and leftover yarn is enough. The pattern contains no abbreviations, so it is easy to understand. It is also printer-friendly, since the photos are mostly placed on extra pages.
