Hi everyone,
I'm flying to Barcelona with some friends for four days next week. It's my first time visiting this city.
Does anyone have any tips for me?
Best regards, Petra
Oh, that’s going to be great!
If you like seafood, you should definitely go eat at the harbor!
And check out the Hard Rock Café *laughs*—that’s a must for us whenever we’re somewhere there’s one!
In any case, I hope you have a lot of fun and a great time!
The Sagrada Família is an absolute MUST. I haven’t been there myself yet, but if I were flying to Barcelona, it would be my first destination.
I hope you have a wonderful time.
La Rambla, of course! It’s a great place to stroll, but hold on tight to your bag! Keep an eye out for a house with umbrellas on the wall. I still remember that one well!
Have a great time!
Ooh, I’ve been to Barcelona too—it’s such a beautiful city! :-)
Sure, like Michaela says: The Sagrada Familia is an absolute must-see!
Another place that’s super beautiful is Casa Batlló!
Personally, I also really liked Camp Nou (the stadium)! But of course, that depends on whether you’re into that sort of thing.
Otherwise, I recommend trying some cocktails. I had the weirdest—and at the same time, the best—cocktails there.
Oh, and one last tip:
We joined a little guided tour... it was kind of a student-led tour, totally free (of course, you “donate” a little something at the end)—we just happened to stumble upon it by chance, and it was sooo great!
That way, you get to see different parts of the city :)
Keep a tight hold on all your belongings, and if you’re driving: don’t stop! Not even if someone signals to you that the trunk is open. Speaking from experience :-)
Basically, I was mainly interested in the Rambla. But this house apparently once belonged to an umbrella maker, and it simply looks amazing. I remember it well! It appears a little farther up on the Rambla when you're coming from the harbor!
Michaela, we’re flying there and have already had some bad experiences. It’s true that in every big city, there are more criminals. But we’ll be careful.
I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip—and I’m a little jealous! I think Barcelona is a really great city because it has everything: the historic Barri Gòtic, the modern neighborhoods, the sea, and the hills… Of course, the cathedral and Parque Güell (designed by Gaudí, just like the Sagrada Familia) are also worth seeing. Unfortunately, like so many other cities, it’s overrun with tourists, but maybe you’ll get lucky at this time of year! All the best!
