Crochet pattern for a diaper bag - crocheted almost entirely from simple Granny Squares !

Click here and take a look at more details and photos!

A diaper bag is super practical for changing on the go! Everything you need to have quickly at hand fits in 2 large side pockets and an extra pocket for small items.

The hair elastic closure is something very special! The elastic is worked in right away and not sewn on. How does that work? I’ll be happy to show you in a step-by-step photo tutorial.

Crocheting it is a lot of fun, and you’ll end up with a great bag that
no one else has and that’s guaranteed to draw envious looks! ;-)

Pssst...The bag also makes a wonderful gift for a new baby!

Have fun crocheting!

Bookmarks are quick to crochet, can be made from just a little leftover yarn, and are the perfect “last-minute gift”! Here’s a particularly fun one for fairy tale fans: The Frog Prince isn’t too challenging, even for beginners. The pattern explains each step in detail with pictures. You can easily finish it in an afternoon. Ideally, use thin cotton yarn or sock yarn. Download the pattern right here!

Sheep Egg Cozy Crochet Pattern
Click here to go directly to the crochet pattern

What you’ll need:
  • Approx. 15g of yarn (it’s best to use 100% cotton yarn, as this makes the egg cozies nice and sturdy. Of course, you can also use any other type of yarn) in white or brown, suitable for a 3mm crochet hook. Leftover yarn in green.
  • A darning needle and scissors
  • Some stuffing for the head
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Googly eyes and superglue
To give the sheep a better fleece look, I use crochet bobbles. I explain this technique at the beginning of the pattern and illustrate it with pictures, so you’ll understand it in no time ;-). All the remaining steps are also illustrated and explained with plenty of pictures. Difficulty level: medium—you should already have some crochet experience ;-) and shouldn’t choose the sheep as your very first crochet project. The sheep egg cozies are a super cute eye-catcher on any breakfast table! They also make the perfect gift ;-) !!!

Unicorn Egg Cup Crochet Pattern
Click here to go directly to the crochet pattern

Brighten up your breakfast table with these cute unicorn egg cups. These unicorn egg cups will put a smile on your face first thing in the morning. They make great gifts and are real eye-catchers :-) What you’ll need:
  • Approx. 20g of white yarn, suitable for a 3mm crochet hook. I used 100% cotton, which makes the egg cup nice and sturdy.
  • Scraps of pink yarn (for the unicorn’s mouth), also suitable for a 3mm hook
  • Scraps of white yarn, suitable for a 2mm hook (for the ears)
  • Scraps of purple or yellow/gold yarn, suitable for a 2mm hook (for the horn)
  • Yarn for the mane and tail
  • 6mm safety eyes
  • stuffing
  • Scissors, darning needle, stitch markers
16-page crochet pattern with plenty of pictures
Difficulty level: Easy—you should be familiar with the basic crochet techniques (making a magic ring, crocheting in spiral rounds, single crochet, sewing on individual pieces...). The pattern uses only single crochet stitches, so it’s also suitable for beginners

This pretty gift bag is especially popular during the spring season.

The bag is made of cardstock and, measuring approximately 21 x 26 x 8 cm, can hold a few small items. It’s also very quick and easy to make, even for beginners; all steps are described in detail in the pattern.

Winter is still in full swing, and a set like this is quick to crochet:

Crochet Beanie 'Tabata' & Möbius cowl/loop scarf (m/f)

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

This crochet set (m/f) in fashionable gray consists of a beanie and a Möbius cowl/loop scarf.

The PDF pattern is written for head circumferences of 52 cm – 60 cm and includes both – hat and loop scarf (loop scarf in one size).

It is illustrated, but requires general crochet skills (chain stitches, single crochet, double crochet, crocheting in rounds, slip stitches,
increases and decreases). The special stitches are illustrated and
described.

For the hat, 150 g is needed, and for the loop scarf, 100 g of a yarn with 50 g – 75 m
yardage is required. Unlike the hook size indicated on the label, this is crocheted
with crochet hook sizes 8.0 and 10.0.

Calculation aid:

Conversion table for yarn quantities and alternative yarns for knitting and crochet

(To purchase/download, please click the image.

This is an Excel spreadsheet for automatically converting a yarn quantity from the "original yarn" to an "alternative yarn" of your choice.

Example:
The original yarn listed in a pattern has a yardage of 85 m per 50 g. According to the instructions there, you need 600 g of this "original yarn" for your size. But you would like to make your piece in a different yarn (= alternative yarn). This yarn you have chosen has a yardage of 70 m per 50 g skein. You enter this information in the Excel spreadsheet and immediately receive the required amount of your chosen yarn, given in skeins and grams.

A gauge is always advisable. To determine the stitch count needed for your individual knitted piece, the simple version of my Excel conversion table for your gauge is included as a bonus.

Important technical note:
To open an Excel spreadsheet, a spreadsheet program such as Excel, LibreOffice (available free of charge http://de.libreoffice.org/) or OpenOffice (available free of charge http://www.openoffice.org/de/) must be installed. Open the file by double-clicking it and, when the message "Protected View" appears, please click "Enable Editing"

Good luck with all your projects

Calculation aid:

LOOK IT UP instead of calculating - PDF table for knitting and crocheting

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

This much-requested PDF table for determining the number of stitches to cast on: LOOK IT UP instead of calculating - can be printed out or kept handy on a smartphone - this PDF table is simply practical when you're on the go.

You crochet or knit your gauge swatch (at least 10 cm x 10 cm), count how many stitches make up 10 cm for you, and can then conveniently look up in the table how many stitches you need to cast on for your desired measurement.

For pattern instructions like
"number of stitches divisible by ... plus   ..." I recommend this Excel table (click me).

A real hit is this beautiful triangular shawl for snuggling up and feeling good. It is crocheted with one gradient yarn cake (yardage 800 m). The shawl has a lovely loose drape and can be worn in many different ways. The pattern is very simple and suitable for beginners.

Here’s the pattern

The shawl measures approx. 190 cm in length / approx. 90 cm in height. Since the pattern is very simple and repeats every 2 rows, the shawl can be made in any size you like.

This adorable pinafore skirt is an absolute hit—it grows with your child from about 1.5 to 5 years old. It gradually transforms from a pinafore skirt into a skirt.

It’s knitted in one piece from the bottom up, with no seams. Even beginners can easily follow the very detailed and illustrated pattern.

The skirt can be worn any time of year and always looks pretty.

Many people love my crochet pattern for the triangular shawl Abschlußball.

The 9-page pattern shows the design as a crochet chart, and the rows of the pattern are also explained in writing with pictures. The shawl can be crocheted with any yarn, but you should use at least 600 m so that it reaches a nice size.

Follow the link and you can see it crocheted with two more yarns.

The pattern repeat goes over two rows, and the shawl is started at the tip and crocheted until the yarn runs out.

If you still need a hat, you’ll love this one.

This knitting pattern for a hat is available in 8 sizes, from the very smallest up to adult size.

The pattern explains the loop pattern in detail, and you only need to know how to use a set of double-pointed needles and how to knit and purl.

You’ll need 200g of Sofia by Lanartus—one solid color and one multicolored—and you’re ready to go.
Of course, any other yarn with a yarn length (LL) of approximately 320m per 100g will also work.
