.. an original gift wrapping for wine and sparkling wine bottles– an eye-catcher at any party.. for her, a “Bottle Petticoat,” and for him, a “Bottle Suit with Bow Tie”, crocheted.

Yarn scraps can be used up wonderfully this way, because we need only per bottle

approx. 25 g per color, so approx. 75 g of a yarn for crochet hook size 2.5. Pretty much all yarns are suitable as long as they are not labeled for a hook size thicker than 3.0. We also need a measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends; a stitch marker is helpful (a contrasting thread works too), and of course standard wine or sparkling wine bottles.

Both patterns are included in one PDF and are thoroughly illustrated over 15 pages. The pattern is not a basic crochet course, but it does include a link tip for those with less experience.

These crochet skills are required:
chain stitches, crocheting in rows and rounds, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet. Front and back post double crochet are explained and illustrated.

Whether you make this crocheted carnival mask in a single, simple color or glittery and decorated with sequins probably depends on your choice of costume, but you’ll definitely look mysterious! All you need are a few leftover yarn scraps (preferably cotton or glitter yarn), a crochet hook, possibly sequins or rhinestones for decoration, and hat elastic to attach it.

Who doesn't know them, the White Clown and his Silly August? The two clown egg cozies with their contents will get you back in shape after a night of Carnival partying!
