I have a few knitting patterns here for you that are guaranteed to be suitable for beginners!
I wrote them especially for knitting beginners! And as you can clearly see in the photos: even with basic skills, you can knit such wonderful things!
And handmade is simply always the nicest, right? You can give your creativity free rein when choosing colors—the yarn comes in over 100 colors and color gradients!

Why are these patterns so great for beginners?

  • everything is knitted in garter stitch only—you only need to knit knit stitches
  • you only knit back and forth in rows and sew it together later (but you can hardly see it) – you don’t have to work with a set of double-pointed needles here
  • the patterns are very detailed and written with lots of pictures—it’s very important to me that you have fun and success
  • all techniques that are a bit tricky for beginners, such as decreasing by knitting two stitches together, are shown and described step by step in a photo tutorial

For many more photos and information about each pattern, just click the blue link below the photos!

I hope you have lots of fun knitting!

A great sweater for beginners!

If you know how to knit and purl stitches, you should give this knitting pattern a try. The sweater consists of two pieces (front and back); the sleeves are knitted right along with them!

Even beginners can give this seamless, top-down crocheted sweater a try.

All you need—besides the pattern—are

  • a 4-ply yarn cake (250 g, 50% cotton and 50% polyacrylic) in your favorite colors—here: “Feuervogel” by Traumgarne
  • a size 3.5 crochet hook
  • and knowledge of the following crochet stitches: chain stitches, single crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, and slip stitches
The sweater can be adjusted to any size you want. Have fun!

A perfect pattern for beginners is this loop scarf

Here is the pattern for the diagonally knitted loop scarf

This model has a great look, which is shown off especially
well with colorful yarn!

The knitting pattern consists only of knit and purl stitches
and is explained very simply in the pattern.

You’ll need 150 g of yarn and size 3 knitting needles for it.

If you’ve just started crocheting, you should begin with small, simple projects that give you a quick sense of accomplishment. How about this ghost bookmark?

It’s essentially crocheted in rows of single crochet stitches. Stitches are increased and decreased at regular intervals. Even slow crocheters can finish this in an afternoon, and all you need are tiny amounts of white and black leftover yarn. Tip: Use thin cotton yarn so the bookmark doesn’t get too thick!

Do you prefer working in rounds? Then these fruit coasters might be just the thing for you:

You can use leftover yarn for these, too. The coasters can also be used as glass lids. The hole in the middle fits a straw perfectly. If you make the fruits a little bigger by crocheting a few more rounds and adding a loop (as described in the pattern), you can also use them as pot holders.
Find the pattern here!

Excellent for crochet beginners: a stylish scarf with a fringe look. All you need to know are chain stitches and double crochet. And thanks to the thick yarn, you’ll quickly get a sense of accomplishment.

You can find the pattern here.

Small pieces, straight cuts, and simple stitches are great for beginners.
Doll clothes are perfect for practicing if you don’t want to make yet another scarf.

A shawl that even beginners can feel confident trying, and it’s also easy to adjust in size. You can use the pattern to knit a wide stole, or knit it a bit narrower for a lightweight scarf. Only knit and purl stitches are used. You can also use all kinds of different yarns, thicker or thinner, just as you like best.

Here’s the pattern.

For anyone who wants to decorate appropriately for any occasion, here’s something very simple for Valentine’s Day: The individual elements of these decorative chains are threaded onto nylon threads—it’s that easy! The chains look very pretty and decorative, and their length and width can be adjusted to fit any surface you want to decorate.

The chains are made from cardstock; in my case, each is about 80 cm long and also very suitable for craft beginners.
