Weekend Plans / Holiday Plans

Dear users, dear authors,
what are your plans for the weekend?
Have a great time and let me know what you're up to.

I was actually planning to spend Saturday leisurely browsing the nearby furniture stores for a nice sideboard, do a little clothes shopping, ... until it occurred to me yesterday that tomorrow is a holiday here...

In that case, I’ll just keep the money and spend hours crocheting on my motif blanket instead (progress: 4.45% according to Wooltasia... so there’s still a lot of work to do!) and, for a change of pace, work on my new shawl in between. 

I’ll also play a little Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch (which we treated ourselves to for Christmas).

So it’s going to be a very couch-centric weekend. I don’t mind that at all :) 

For me, it’ll probably be a lazy weekend too. My fever’s gone, but I’m not quite back on my feet yet. Actually, that’s the perfect state for lazing around :-)

Today we had coffee and ate king cake at our friends’ place; tomorrow evening we’re going to the renovated theater for the first time to enjoy a gala concert featuring a very renowned local musician. We’re really looking forward to it, of course. But first, we still have to take down the Christmas tree and put away the decorations—which means there probably won’t be much time left to keep knitting my gloves—unfortunately!

Today I somehow had a lot of laundry to do. But the washing machine takes care of that anyway. In between, I’ll be cooking and crocheting.

Tomorrow I want to start a new project. So I’ll be tinkering and making a test piece. I’m really looking forward to it!

And starting Monday, everyday life will be back in full swing—with the kids going back to school and me sitting in traffic in the morning on my way to work. I hope it won’t be too bad, but there’s nothing I can do about it.

We went shopping today, and then I moved some boxes around in the basement. Tomorrow I’ll probably keep tidying up in the basement. But it’s getting cozier and cozier, and I’ve been crocheting for an hour now.
