Heinrich Bunny has dressed up especially nicely for Easter. But even after Easter, he is a cuddly little guy who wins hearts in no time.

Using the specified materials, Heinrich Bunny measures 20 cm tall when sitting. Personally, I recommend cotton yarn for making all of my amigurumis.

The pattern includes many step-by-step photos that make it easier to follow. However, basic crochet skills (single crochet, increases, decreases, etc.) are required.

The following materials are needed to make it:
  • 75 g cotton yarn in light gray
  • 25 g cotton yarn in red
  • leftover cotton yarn in yellow (for the scarf)
  • leftover cotton yarn in colorful colors (for the hat)
  • leftover cotton yarn in white (for the muzzle)
  • leftover cotton yarn in pink and black (for embroidering the outlines)
  • one pair of safety eyes, 9 mm, in brown-black
  • stuffing
  • crochet hook size 3
Here is the pattern:

These Easter bunny egg cozies are a fun idea for your Easter breakfast table. You can crochet these two cheerful fellows quickly and easily using just a few leftover yarn scraps (e.g., Catania by Schachenmayr - 125 m/50 g). You’ll need a 2.5 mm crochet hook and some craft stuffing to fill the head. They are made mainly with single crochet stitches.
You can find the pattern here!

The bunny and chick have room in their bellies for a little surprise. You crochet their bodies around an empty Kinder Surprise egg capsule. They turn out especially pretty if you use fluffy yarn (e.g., Rico Baby Teddy), but they’re also very cute when made with cotton yarn!

Materials
  • Catania yarn in the colors (yellow), red, and light blue)
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook
  • Safety eyes approx. 10 mm
  • Stuffing
  • Sewing needle
  • Marker
  • Scissors
What you should already know
  • Chain stitches
  • Slip stitches
  • Single crochet stitches
  • Increases
  • Decreases
  • Crocheting in rounds and rows
  • Simple sewing on

Sheep Egg Cozy Crochet Pattern
Click here to go directly to the crochet pattern
What you’ll need:
  • approx. 15 g of yarn (it’s best to use 100% cotton yarn, as this makes the egg cozies nice and sturdy. Of course, you can also use any other yarn) in white or brown, suitable for a 3 mm crochet hook. Leftover yarn in green.
  • A darning needle and scissors
  • Some stuffing for the head
  • 3 mm crochet hook.
  • Googly eyes and superglue
To give the sheep a better fleece look, I use bobbles when crocheting. I explain these at the beginning of the pattern and illustrate everything with pictures. That way, you’ll understand the technique very quickly ;-). All the remaining steps are also illustrated and explained with plenty of pictures. Difficulty level: medium; you should already have some crochet experience ;-) and not choose the sheep as your very first crochet project. These sheep egg cozies are a super cute eye-catcher on any breakfast table! Also ideal as a gift ;-) !!!

For an experienced crafter, making this giant egg is a matter of just a few hours. A less experienced crafter, or someone who has only a little time for their hobby, should start now so that the egg is guaranteed to be finished by Easter and completely stress-free.

The decorative egg is made from photo cardstock, measures approx. 19.5 x 28 cm, and can be stood up or hung up. The basic shapes are cut out using the templates, so transferring them onto the photo cardstock is not necessary.

Oops! Not all of the text came through!

Here’s the rest.
My grandchildren always have fun setting up the “wrong” figure and crack up laughing when, at Easter, I once again “have to look for the Easter bunny.” The reversible doll “Nikolausi - Osterhasi” is a lot of fun and gets plenty of laughs. It’s not hard to crochet at all. When using Catania by Schachenmayr, it will be about 20 cm tall.
