What yarn weight?

I don’t have much experience working with yarn yet. I’d like to crochet a beautiful poncho using a pattern downloaded here. Unfortunately, I’m not getting an answer from the Admin. So I’m asking you all????
I’d like to use the Lola gradient yarn. But which weight? The one in the pattern has 330 m per 100 g for hook size 5. 
The one I’d like to use has the following information:
3-ply 500 m/100 g - hook size 2.5 mm4-ply 375 m/100 g - hook size 3-3.5 mm5-ply 300 m/100 g - hook size 3.5 mm6-ply 250 m/100 g - hook size 3.75-4 mm8-ply 188 m/100 g - hook size 4.5-5 mm 

YardageHook size3-ply500 m/100 g2.5 mm4-ply375 m/100 g3-3.5 mm5-ply300 m/100 g3.5 mm6-ply250 m/100 g3.75-4 mm8-ply188 m/100 g4.5-5 mm

The poncho is by Nicje; please send her a private message—she’ll surely be able to help you. It probably also depends on how tightly or loosely you crochet.
