I love sunshine yellow, and I'm sure many of you feel the same. The color simply puts you in a good mood – but unfortunately it can also often make you look a bit pale. That's why I really like using yellow as an accent color together with more muted colors, as you can see here with the POTZBLITZ shawl. And the best part: there's a matching hat to go with it! Like all my patterns, it is very detailed, so that advanced beginners can also have a successful experience and dare to try new knitting techniques.

Here you can find the POTZBLITZ shawl: CLICK!

I think these pot holders look especially good in sunny yellow. They look great in other colors too, of course—it’s a matter of taste. I just really love yellow :-)
A simple knitting pattern using knit and purl stitches, suitable even for beginners. For pot holders, you should use thicker cotton yarn but thinner needles to create a tight stitch pattern. However, you can also use this pattern to knit a dishcloth—in that case, it doesn’t need to be as tight.
The pattern is written out row by row and also shown in a knitting chart.

You can find it here.

Of course, you can also knit this lace-patterned hat in any color you like.

How do you like it in sunny yellow?

Depending on the size, you’ll need between 155 and 170 meters of sock yarn for the hat; it’s knitted with 3mm needles. There’s a knitting chart for the lace pattern.

Great in shades of orange:
Knitted multifunctional loop, bolero, kidney warmer, shoulder warmer, hat scarf

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

This versatile loop (wrapped twice around the neck) is knitted in the round from 6-ply sock yarn, in the same yarn as the “year-round beanie.”

The PDF pattern is illustrated, but it is not a basic knitting course. General knitting skills are required.

Required materials:
150 g 6-ply sock yarn, here Austermann sock yarn Step 6 (= 6-ply) with aloe vera and jojoba oil, (75% virgin wool, 25% acrylic, 150 g = 375 m yardage, according to the ball band knitting needle size 3 - 4;
gauge according to the ball band: 23 sts x 31 rows = 10 x 10 cm); stitch marker, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends. Used here: circular knitting needle 6.0 (cable length at least 80 cm, more comfortable: 100 cm).

By the way: for sizes L-XL, the “bolero” fits in such a way that it can also be called a “kidney warmer.” For smaller clothing sizes, this area hangs fashionably and casually.

Here is the matching beanie—as mentioned above:

Knitting pattern for the ALL-SEASON BEANIE hat made from sock yarn

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

For this feather-light all-season beanie, which is made with knitting needles in various sizes (the brim with size 3.5 needles, the main part with size 6.0 needles, the decreases with 4.5 and 4.0) and with a crochet hook size 3.0–4.0 for the embellishment, 70 g of 6-ply sock yarn is enough, though usually 1 skein is 150 g. So from the leftover yarn you can easily knit a small cowl or even 1 pair of socks up to shoe size 36/37 :-)

By the way: you can find a sock-knitting course for 6-ply sock yarn here:
https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/22205/strickanleitung-socken-aus-6-faedigem-garn-lehrgang-mit-tabellen-fuer-alle-groessen

With colorful sock yarn, the color progression—like in this picture—appears automatically.

These knitting skills are needed:
knit stitches, purl stitches, knitting in the round, slip-slip-knit decreases.
Crochet skills
: chain stitches, slip stitches

these fun sponges are crocheted with Bubble yarn from Rico Design and spread good cheer everywhere
But be warned: once you start using this yarn, it’s highly addictive.
There are many other designs in my shop

An enchanting dress in sunny yellow—simply a dream for Barbie and doll mums alike. And it’s very easy to crochet. It looks beautiful in a single color, but a multicolored version is also possible. The dress is part of the “Swing” dress series because the skirt swings so beautifully. In addition to the dress, you can also crochet hats, bags, and a short dress. Just take a look at my designs.

Best wishes — Yours, Ina

If you have family members with summer birthdays, you should definitely get this pop-up card. It does take a bit of effort to make the card, but it’s also something truly special, so the effort is worth it. And you still have plenty of time until summer.

This birthday card is made from cardstock and construction paper and measures approximately 21 x 10.5 cm. The card isn’t difficult to make, even for beginners, because the pop-up mechanism consists of a single piece and is easy to follow.
