Yarn winder winds unevenly — does anyone have any ideas?

Hi everyone,
I have a KnitPro yarn winder that has served me well so far. But for the past few weeks, it’s been winding balls so unevenly that they’re barely usable because they fall apart quickly.
Of course, I’ve already checked it out, but there are only rivets—no screws to tighten.
My setup (yarn swift and winder) is the same as always.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

I’d appreciate any tips :-)

Check whether the cone you attach clicks into place properly. 
That was the problem with my jumbo winder, which was also winding lopsided balls. ;-) 

If that’s not the issue, I would file a complaint with KnitPro about your winder. I’ve heard they’re very accommodating about that.

Thanks so much for the tip, Michaela. The cone—or rather, the tube—has clicked into place properly. I’ll try my luck with KnitPro :-)
