Kids love imitating the daily activities of adults, which is why they absolutely love playing “shopping” and “cooking.” Hand-crocheted items for the play store are ideal for sparking the imagination and encouraging play.

Dish Sponge Ball with or without a Face - according to your own imagination -  plus Dishcloth - Crochet Pattern

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Quick to crochet in the popular dish sponge yarn (washable at 60°C in the dishwasher or washing machine).

Included in the download :
  • PDF crochet pattern for a dish sponge ball with an embroidered face (diameter approx. 7 cm)
  • PDF crochet pattern for a dishcloth (size: approx. 20 cm x 20 cm)
Both patterns include a short version and a detailed, illustrated pattern plus crochet basics with all stitches used.

The embroidered little face gives the dish sponge ball a funny touch for gifts. Creating your own faces is sure to be a lot of fun, too. If the ball (not filled) is pushed outward, it is a smiling dish sponge; pushed inward, in this case it is a “Halloween face.” If left without a “face,” the ball also makes a nice Christmas ornament .

Materials for 1 dishcloth + 1 dish sponge ball:
approx. 50 g Rico Creative Bubble, 100% polyester, e.g. color 007 light blue + 50 g (or leftover yarn) color 012 black, 50 g – 100 m, washable at 60 °C in the dishwasher, crochet hook 4.0; , scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.
NOTE: Black is only suitable in this dish sponge yarn for embroidering or for borders. If the dishcloth is used as a potholder, please use 100% cotton yarn (potholder yarn) because of its heat resistance.

A wonderfully lightweight poncho that is nevertheless very warm thanks to the camel hair.
The technique is basically kept simple - but the small cable border adds the finishing touch!
In addition, the beadwork snowmen worked into it also look very pretty and at the same time serve as weights, ensuring a neat drape.

When choosing the charms, let your imagination run wild!

This pattern is designed for sizes 38/40.
The included schematic and the gauge make it possible, however, to knit any size!

A detailed description guides you through the entire knitting process.

And here’s the pattern and more details...
