Knit a striped vest for children (1 to 3 years)

A vest is the ideal piece of clothing for children during the cooler season. With a long-sleeved shirt underneath and a
comfortable, cozy pair of pants to go with it, it makes the perfect play outfit. Children like things this
uncomplicated—and moms and grandmas do too ;-)

This one comes in a trendy striped look and is great for boys, but also for sporty girls.

Click here and you’ll go directly to the pattern with lots of information and photos!

What is special about this pattern?

  • The armband is knitted on directly here in garter stitch.
  • The side slits are also set off in garter stitch—this makes the look even sportier and more modern.
  • The two specified yarns (summer and winter baby yarn) have exactly the same gauge! So you can knit with the same pattern using both qualities—depending on your taste and the season!
The vest is described in detail in 3 sizes:
  • Size 80 (1 year)
  • Size 86 (18 months)
  • Size 92/98 (2-3 years)
You will receive a step-by-step pattern with many high-quality photos and illustrations! The PDF pattern consists of 12
pages and is suitable for advanced knitters.

Knit a beginner’s triangular shawl with stripes and a gorgeous color gradient

Click here and you’ll go straight to the pattern! You’ll also get a look inside the pattern there!

This shawl is a real delight around the neck. It’s very easy to knit but the special yarn makes it look extra special, doesn’t it? Stripes of a solid-colored yarn alternate with a yarn featuring a gorgeous, long color gradient.
There are also lots of other color combinations and looks possible! Both yarns are available in many other colors and color gradients, so you can also create an autumnal or more wintry version.

Have fun knitting!

Whether striped or solid-colored, this pretty doll dress always looks good.
The long dress is part of the popular“Swing” series. There is also a short dress, hats, and bags to go with it. You can make and combine the models however you like. That way every Barbie, Steffi, Petra, or Susi gets her very own outfit in her favorite color.

Thepatterns are very suitable for crochet beginners, as I describe everything very precisely and step by step.

Possible yarns in varying amounts (depending on the model); leftover yarn is also enough:
  • “Suavel Baby Smiles” by Schachenmayr (LL 366 m/50 g) or
  • “Katia New Babette for Baby” (LL 335 m/50 g) or
  • “Pure alize Bamboo fine” (LL 440 m/100 g) or another yarn with a gauge that matches mine
  • plus a crochet hook size 2 or 2.5
I hope you have lots of fun crocheting them and dressing the dolls!

PS. You can also make it for the Christmas princess :-) Exact materials are specified.

The pattern for these socks is inspired by the waves of a moonlit river. Even if you’re not into romance, this pattern is still fun to knit and looks great. You’ll need 4-ply sock yarn in 2 different colors and a little experience with two-color patterns. A knitting chart will help you recreate it.

The pattern can be found here.

You won’t believe it, but this knitted decorative pillow actually has a striped pattern. The interwoven color effects are created by using slipped stitches. The pattern is written out row by row and also shown in a knitting chart.

You can make this tea light holder either in a very simple version or with the pattern—both are possible, and the pattern comes with two design variations. Apart from that, you can of course also decorate the holder with star stickers or even make it from patterned paper right from the start.

The tea light holder is made of photo board and measures approximately 14 x 14 x 2 cm. It’s easy to make, but it should be cut and folded very precisely.

Jupiter Sky is knitted from one side to the other. You cast on only a few stitches, and by increasing on one side, the shawl
gradually gets larger. There are no limits

Striped and patterned, this will definitely keep boredom at bay. The “Nambu” shawl starts with just a few stitches and is gradually enlarged with side increases. The lace pattern is very easy to knit, so even knitting beginners will really enjoy it.

You’ll need 2 skeins of 100g Sofia, each with a length of 320m—so it knits up really fast.

Sometimes sock yarn looks like a Norwegian pattern.

This vest in size 36/38 - can easily be adapted to other sizes - is knitted with two strands held together, using 200g 4-ply sock yarn & 100g KidSilk with 6.0 mm needles, so it weighs only about 300g and fits over any blouse or sweater – basically in any season.

The pattern includes the pictures from the image gallery and is written in text form. It describes how to convert the gauge to individual measurements.

Knitting skills: casting on and binding off stitches, knit and purl stitches, simple
cabling (described), edge stitches, knitting stitches together,
increases from the strand between stitches. The knitting pattern is here - click me.
