A weekend project is ideally on the smaller side and can also be made beautifully with yarn from your stash. Hats are a great choice for that! My zigzag hats are easier to knit than they look, and they can also be made wonderfully from leftovers, because the stripe sequence is up to your imagination. If you have yarn with a gauge of 23 stitches x 46 rows in garter stitch = 10 x 10 cm, you can simply follow the pattern. Anyone who wants to use a different yarn will get lots of tips for adjusting the size.

"Peek-a-Boo" roughly translates as "peekaboo"
A lovely name for this style!

This sleeveless vest is held together by a button, which also stabilizes the collar.
In the right quality, it can be worn all year round—and it instantly adds flair to any boring outfit!
The "beads" of the pattern used look wrapped.
This effect is created because the stitch groups are worked over two stitches
- simple, but not boring.

as well as a chart in crochet chart can be found in the pattern.
In addition, a schematic with an integrated diagram is included.

This pattern is designed for sizes S/M/L/XL.
However, the pattern explains in detail
how this vest can easily be adapted to any size.

The included schematic and the gauge help with this!

It's getting cold now. Are you prepared yet? If not, I'd like to recommend a knitted infinity scarf to you. These things are very practical because there are no loose ends flapping around. The pattern is almost suitable for beginners (not quite, but almost!).

Here is the pattern.

Hats can also come in very handy now in winter. Even better if they’re fun to knit, too. For this, you’ll need yarn with a yardage of approx. 114 m per 50 g, 2 skeins of it, and 4 mm knitting needles. The pattern is explained in written form and also shown in a knitting chart.

You can find the pattern here.

Looking for a gift? How about this:

Crochet pattern Möbius Collar 1-2-3-4

(Please click the image to purchase/download)

.. wonderfully jazzes up sweaters and shirts.

This collar scarf is crocheted from approx. 60 g of a merino yarn with a yardage of 50 g – 160 m and hook size 3 – 4 (here with a 3.5 mm crochet hook) and can be finished quickly in an afternoon. Beginners should allow themselves a little more crochet time.
However, other yarns with a suitable hook size can also be used. In my opinion, though, the pattern shows up better in finer yarns.

The Möbius technique in crochet is much easier than in knitting.

For the illustrated PDF pattern basic crochet skills are sufficient (chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, slip stitch). Link tips for learning to crochet are included.

Who would like to try their hand at lace socks:

Relax socks, 6-ply, in a simple lace pattern - knitting pattern

(To purchase/download, please click the image(s))

These ladies’/men’s socks are, above all, comfortable wellness/relax/house socks with a loose cuff, which can also be rolled down – so “nothing cuts in”..

General knitting skills required.
We knit with a set of double-pointed needles. Difficulty level: medium

We need 1 ball = 150 g (yardage approx. 420 m to 450 m of a 6-ply sock yarn; here, for the short cuff of approx. 10 cm, approx. 70 g was used for shoe size 39, Lungauer sock yarn by Ferner Wolle (super cuddly soft), made of 75% merino, 25% polyamide; gauge approx. 22 sts x 31 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm; set of double-pointed needles 3.5 – 4.0

Decorations/Coasters “Little Snowflakes”

The “Little Snowflakes” decorations/coasters, with a diameter of about 10 cm, are perfect for the Christmas season and create a cozy atmosphere. They can be placed on the festive table as coasters for candleholders or used as door and window decorations. It doesn’t take much yarn to make a snowflake, so these can be crocheted from leftover yarn.

With these 18 snowflakes (you can see just six of them here), you’ll have a simple craft project for the weekend—and the result is a pretty decoration for your windows that can stay up even after Christmas.

The templates are designed for tissue paper or similarly thin paper. The finished snowflakes are about 20 cm in size. For craft beginners, there are detailed instructions and a folding guide.

The Jeans shawl is an asymmetrical triangular shawl that starts with just a few stitches and steadily
grows larger with increases along the side. Since it is knitted with bulky yarn and 6 mm needles, you’ll finish it in no time, and you’ll have the perfect companion for the cold season!

If you need something for a “Secret Santa” gift, this is quick to crochet and inexpensive:

Dish sponge ball with or without a face plus dishcloth - crochet pattern

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Quick to crochet in the popular dish sponge yarn (washable at 60°C in the dishwasher or washing machine).

Included in the download :
  • PDF crochet pattern for a dish sponge ball with an embroidered face (diameter approx. 7 cm)
  • PDF crochet pattern for a dishcloth (size: approx. 20 cm x 20 cm)
Both patterns include a short version and a detailed, illustrated pattern plus crochet basics with all stitches used.
Addition to the pattern for the dishcloth: if you would like to crochet a hanging loop onto the cloth, you can crochet the loop according to the dish sponge ball pattern.

Difficulty level: the yarn requires a little crochet experience, but forgives mistakes

The embroidered little face gives the dish sponge ball a fun touch for gifts. If the ball (not filled) is pushed outward, it is a smiling dish sponge; pushed inward, it is a “Halloween face.” If left without a “face,” the ball also looks great as a Christmas ornament .

Materials for 1 dishcloth + 1 dish sponge ball:
approx. 50 g Rico Creative Bubble, 100% polyester, in main color + 50 g (or yarn scraps) col. 012 black, 50 g – 100 m, washable at 60°C in the dishwasher, crochet hook 4.0; scissors, yarn needle for sewing in ends.
PLEASE NOTE: Black in this yarn is only suitable for embroidering or for edging.
If the dishcloth is used as a potholder, please use 100% cotton yarn (potholder yarn) because of its heat resistance.
