The reindeer with the red nose is a great wrapping for a cash gift, a gift card, or a small piece of jewelry. After Christmas, it can be used as a coin purse or storage pouch for odds and ends.
The purse is easy to crochet. You’ll need cotton yarn (Catania by Schachenmayr) or a slightly fluffy yarn (Maya by Woll Butt), some stuffing, and a small purse frame.
More details and the pattern are available here!

What could be nicer than warm feet? Hand-knitted socks make a wonderful gift:

Knitting pattern
Socks made from 6-ply yarn - tutorial with charts for all sizes

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Socks made from 6-ply sock yarn are a bit thicker – and therefore warmer – and, most importantly, quicker to knit than socks made from 4-ply yarn. They are popular as house and bed socks, hut slippers, or for hiking in mountain boots. Men love socks like these in work boots.

This is basically a sock-knitting tutorial, shown in detail with photos using children's socks in size 32/33.

All other sizes can be knitted according to the corresponding chart information for 6-ply sock yarn .

Included in the download :

  • PDF sock-knitting pattern - illustrated step by step (22 pages)
  • Baby sock size chart for 6-ply sock yarn, from newborns up to shoe size 20
  • Sock size chart for 6-ply sock yarn, children's socks up to adult shoe size 47
We need
1 skein = 150 g (yardage approx. 420 m to 450 m) up to shoe size 44; 200 g – 250 g from size 45 of a 6-ply sock yarn, the especially soft Christmas yarn color 02 “Mally Socks – Lungauer Sockenwolle” by Ferner Wolle was used here, 75% merino, 25% polyamide; gauge approx. 22 sts x 31 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm; set of double-pointed needles 3.5; row counter is helpful; tape measure, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.

Note:
For 4-ply sock yarns, there is a separate sock-knitting tutorial with corresponding charts here in my shop at https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/5603/sockenstrick-lehrgang-fuer-4-faediges-garn-alle-groessen-fuer-baby-kinder-damen-herrensocken

A hat like this is also a very useful gift:

Crochet Hat for Everyone - very easy

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

A wonderfully easy-to-crochet hat for different styles, so ONE hat model wearable in all the variations shown, for both men and women. Also easy to make for children or as a
simple hat for babies (though thinner yarn is recommended)
.

And the best part:

  • no gauge (it doesn’t depend on the exact cm),
  • no increases or decreases,
  • for any yarn you like
  • possible in all sizes.

The PDF pattern is illustrated.

These crochet skills are needed: chain stitches, single crochet.
Everything else and slip stitches are explained. Video/link tips for learning to crochet for beginners are included in the PDF.

And crochet an infinity scarf to match the hat:
https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/20003/haekel-moebius-loop-schal-fuer-alle-einfach

Materials
: for the pictured model with a head circumference of 55 cm to 60 cm: approx. 250 g merino yarn, 50 g – 45 m, crochet hook 6.0; measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.
The rib pattern requires approx. 50 g more yarn than is normally typical for hats. The crochet hook size should match the yarn used.

You can also fill a feminine version of the St. Nicholas boot with gifts. This boot isn’t particularly large, but it’s easy to make bigger—all you have to do is extend the straight section of the shaft to the desired height.

The boot is made of cardstock and measures approximately 19 x 22 x 7.5 cm. With a little crafting experience, it’s easy to make and works with or without a crepe paper cuff.

A hat and a matching loop scarf also make a wonderful Christmas gift, because, as we all know, handmade gifts come from the heart. And in fall, winter, and spring, warm clothing always comes in handy. With this affordable value set, you can put together your own color gradient, because two strands are always crocheted at the same time. It’s very easy and creates beautiful color transitions. This pattern is also easy for beginners to make and can also be adapted to all head and neck sizes. Detailed size charts are included as well, including for snug, medium, and wide loop scarves. Just the way you want it.

The lights are quick to crochet, and you usually have everything you need at home. Leftover yarn and an empty large yogurt jar are enough. Or simply use another empty jar. The pattern includes many photos and detailed explanations, making this a beginner project too.

In the photo you can see my “gift secret tip” for all the girls. You might be thinking, wrist warmers, who needs those? But no, you’d be wrong. These little pieces are really brilliant. I love them and have them in different colors. Whenever my wrists start acting up from lots of knitting or typing at the office, I’m happy to have them. But you can also wear them purely for fashion reasons. It’s a little piece of luxury in everyday life.

From one ball of high-quality cashmere yarn, you can knit 2 pairs of “Wrist Warmers Deluxe”: one pair for you and one pair for your very best friend ;-)

I wish you lots of with the free knitting pattern.

Best wishes - Yours, Ina

PS. In the lower photo, Steffi shows you how wonderfully these delicate pieces can be paired with jeans. They look great, don’t they?

My first choice if I were buying a gift for a little girl would be this crocheted set. It consists of a skirt, a top, and a bolero. You really can’t go wrong with this. This gift is sure to delight any little doll mummy.

I hope you have a lot of fun with this project and that the children’s eyes light up when they unwrap their gifts. Yours, Ina
