Finger puppets in St. Nicholas gift bags or Advent calendars are a big hit with all kids, especially when they’re as funny as these three jungle dwellers! You can crochet them up really quickly using just a little leftover yarn, because they’re super easy.

Such a "Mensch-ärger-dich-nicht" game is guaranteed to be one of a kind and something truly special! The game is, of course, washable and portable. It fits in any backpack and can also be taken on outings. And if Grandma crochets it for her grandson, they could always play it together.

You’ll receive a 29-page explained and illustrated step-by-step crochet pattern for making a Mensch-ärger-dich-nicht game, the matching game pieces, and a suitable bag.

Materials:
  • approx. 150 g of "Bravo" yarn in 6 different colors; leftover yarn of the same weight can also be used
  • you should have 1 ball (50 g) of the main color (yellow in my case)
  • size 3 crochet hook

Oh, I almost forgot... if you’d rather play checkers, here you go—you can, of course, also crochet the checkers game, including the pieces.

Or would you rather make a Nine Men’s Morris game ? You can crochet that yourself, too.

No matter which game you choose, they’re all one-of-a-kind and truly special. You, your children, and your grandchildren will enjoy them for a long time to come.

I hope you have lots of fun with these projects. Yours, Ina
