Crochet pattern for scarf/cowl and headband PLAYFUL in a simple shell pattern

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

The scarf can also be sewn together and worn as a cowl (wrapped 2 times around the neck), basically in every season . Add the matching headband and you have a pretty (gift) set.

Experienced crocheters can crochet both quickly in one weekend.
Skill level: easy – also suitable for advanced beginners.

I made the set with cotton yarn, here using Schachenmayr Cotton Bamboo, 50% cotton / 50% viscose,50 g – 120 m, needle size according to the ball band 3 - 4, here using crochet hook size 4.0; gauge according to the ball band 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Please choose alternative (winter) yarns (e.g. Merino Extrafine 120 by Schachenmayr) with a similar yardage and suitable hook size.

Yarn requirements / finished measurements:

  • 150 g for the scarf/cowl: approx. 14 cm x 140 cm – length variable
  • 50 g for the headband - size variable
The 8-page PDF pattern is illustrated, but assumes the following basic crochet skills:
chain stitches, double crochet, single crochet, crocheting in rows. A link to
explanations of the basic skills is included in the PDF.

Also suitable for all seasons:

Crochet pattern Möbius Collar 1-2-3-4

(Please click the image to purchase/download)

This scarf collar really spruces up sweaters and shirts.

It is crocheted from approx. 60 g of a merino yarn with 50 g – 160 m yardage and hook size 3 – 4 (shown here with a 3.5 mm crochet hook) and is quickly finished in one afternoon. Beginners should allow themselves a little more crochet time. However, other yarns with a suitable hook size can also be used. In my opinion, though, the pattern shows up better in finer yarns.

The Möbius technique in crochet is considerably easier than in knitting.

For the illustrated PDF pattern basic crochet skills (chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, slip stitch) are sufficient. Link tips for learning to crochet are included.

If you prefer knitting, how about this:

A Hint of Something.. Reversible Cowl/Hooded Scarf - One Size - easy to knit

“A Hint of Something..” – versatile to wear e.g. as a reversible cowl / hooded scarf / shoulder warmer.

One size – nice and simple.

The PDF pattern includes images from the image gallery.

These basic knitting skills are needed:
cast on stitches, knit and purl stitches, knit 2 stitches together, increase 1 stitch, knitting in the round, bind off.

We need:
just under 50 g Austermann Kid Silk (75% kid mohair, 25% silk, 25 g/225 m yardage (hand wash) needle size 3–4; used here: 3.5 circular knitting needle, stitch marker, yarn needle for weaving in ends, measuring tape, scissors
For beginning knitters, I recommend correspondingly thin (lace) yarns without mohair.

Here’s one in a simple lace pattern: Knitting Pattern – Openwork Shoulder Shawl/Scarf

Can be made in any yarn and size.

A feather-light gradient lace shawl (yarn used here: 150 g Austermann Caleido Lace for approx. 42 cm x 112 cm) in a simple openwork pattern that can be worn as a shawl, scarf, or even as a hooded scarf.

Basic knitting skills (casting on, knit and purl stitches, edge stitches, yarn overs, knitting stitches together, binding off) are sufficient for this simple openwork pattern.

Are you looking for a beautiful scarf that’s loose-fitting but still keeps you warm when needed? How about the “Elegancia” infinity scarf ?
Wrapped twice around your neck, it’s a great accessory; in winter, wrapped three times around your neck, it keeps you wonderfully warm!

You’ll need about 1,000 m of 3-ply gradient yarn and a 3 mm hook.
Of course, the pattern can also be crocheted with any other type of yarn.

You should know how to do the following: chain stitches, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, treble crochet, and cluster stitches (If you’re not familiar with cluster stitches: Don’t worry! The download includes a separate file that explains them). So, grab the pattern here and get started right away!

Have fun! :)

Loop scarf or regular scarf? - Sometimes you don’t have to choose at all!

Scoodies are simply always on trend...
The cold season can be wonderfully bridged with this cozy combination scarf.
Whether under a jacket as a scarf and loop scarf - or over a coat as a scarf-and-hood combo -
always a trendsetter!

The contrast comes from both the pattern and the little flowers.
Once you’ve crocheted the pattern repeat, you’ll have the hang of it -
even beginners will enjoy this pattern!

A detailed step-by-step explanation guides you through the crochet pattern.
For clarity, 1 crochet chart is included in the pattern.
The flowers are described both in words and in pictures.

The scarf measures about 84 x 40 cm on each side.
The loop scarf is approx. 70 cm high and approx. 42 cm in diameter.
However, it can easily be made smaller or larger as needed.
The gauge helps with that!

And here’s the pattern and more details...

Beautiful colors + simple pattern + great shape = a snood you simply must have!

This loop scarf in a tartan look appears sophisticated, yet is so easy to make
that it is also suitable for beginners !

The circumference is about 80 cm, and the height is approx. 50 cm.
However, the included cut and the gauge make it possible to adjust the size individually.

You will also find a chart of the color scheme as well as a detailed description in the pattern.
In addition, a detailed photo documentation helps you through the knitting process.
The tartan technique is also described in detail and illustrated.

And here is the pattern and more details...

A different cowl every day—that would be a dream,
once you start with this model, it’s fun to knit it in other
colors too.

                   Cowl with lace pattern

For this, you need yarn with a color gradient; Lang Jawoll Magic was used here,
and a circular knitting needle size 3.5.

The pattern for it is written very simply and clearly,
you knit with knit and purl stitches, yarn overs, and knitting stitches together,
and just like that, you get this great pattern.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A very simple cowl made from cozy yarn is also a must-have in winter!
It is worked with doubled yarn, so you can also
put the colors together yourself!

Cowl with wave pattern

The wave pattern is described simply in the pattern, so that even knitting beginners
can give it a try.

1 strand of smooth yarn (with color gradient) is knitted together with a very fine mohair strand (solid color)
using a circular knitting needle size 5,
so it works up very quickly and the result is super soft and cozy.

With the “Endless” knitting pattern, you can knit yourself a fantastic Möbius scarf!

Named after the Möbius strip, which has no beginning and no end, this chic knitted loop can be worn in a variety of ways. The simple yet striking pattern looks the same on both sides. The scarf is topped off with a border of cute bobbles, which also give it that special something. If you leave out the bobbles, the scarf is also “suitable for men.”

Materials needed:
  • one skein of Scheepjes Whirl (approx. 1,000 meters). Alternatively, I recommend a 3-ply skein of 1,000 meters or thin sock yarn
  • a very long circular needle (at least 100 meters of cable) in size 3
  • a stitch marker
  • a sewing needle
  • size 2.5 crochet hook for the bobbles
  • a kitchen scale to determine the amount of yarn needed for the bobbles (optional)
Required skills:
  • How to cast on stitches using the Möbius technique (this is explained in a photo tutorial)
  • knit stitches
  • purl stitches
  • For the bobbles: chain stitches, single crochet, and double crochet worked together (this is explained in a photo tutorial)

The pattern for knitting the Möbius scarf is 10 pages long and includes a written knitting pattern, detailed and professionally computer-generated knitting charts, and photo tutorials for casting on and creating the bobbles.
Difficulty level: easy.

Short infinity scarf / scarf “Alida”

I used a 3-ply yarn cake, and with a 3 mm hook you’ll need about 500 m of yarn for a height of 37 cm, depending on how tightly or loosely you crochet and how long and tall you want to make the scarf/loop. You can also use a different yarn.

Required skills: double crochet, chain stitches, bobbles *1 yarn over, pull up a loop *repeat from * 2 more times and work off all loops together.

My pattern includes 5 pages with pictures, written instructions, and a crochet chart.

Click here to see my short infinity scarf / scarf!!!

Best regards,

Claudi, aka Haekelparadies-Claudi
