So, how was your weekend? Did you do a lot of crocheting?
My weekend was nice.
On Saturday, we were out and about all day—flea market,
shopping, visiting family, etc.—so I didn’t get any
crocheting done at all on Saturday.
But I made up for it yesterday.
I finished my commission.
I had to crochet 10 nativity scene figures—the little girl who’s
getting them has her birthday today.
I’m really looking forward to seeing her reaction at lunchtime.
I definitely need more time for crocheting. I still have so many
projects I want to work on, and new ones keep popping up every day.
Hi Heike!
My weekend was very hectic. Our daughter (12) also has her birthday today and got a new bed. That caused a total frenzy because I had to clear out the room, take apart the old bed, and rearrange the rest of the furniture. My husband did help me a little, but he also had to “drop” our daughter off at her grandma’s—who lives 70 km away—buy the new bed, buy a new mattress, and so on… So there was absolutely no time for crocheting. By evening, I was just too exhausted for anything.
Today, things are calmer. Starting tomorrow, it’s off to the basement for me to sort through the discarded Playmobil (10 boxes) and get them ready for sale. I’m looking forward to it :(
You can see most of my weekend activities in the picture under “Reste-Beste”! On Saturday, I crocheted the two hearts and half of the star after I finished the wrist warmers. Yesterday morning we went to church, and in the afternoon—with this nasty weather—it was time to crochet: first I finished the star, then I moved on to the little angel. The fine yarn really strains my eyes, so I can’t work on it for too long. Plus, I have to take care of my wrists—I still have so much to do before Christmas!
My weekend was peaceful. On Saturday, I met up with a friend, and yesterday was all about “lounging on the couch.” Just like Christina, I kept knitting on my leftover yarn project.
We went to the thermal spa on Friday. The kids had the day off from school, and my husband and I took a day off work.
The weather was so nice on Saturday that we winterized the orchard. During the last storm, a big branch was torn off our apple tree. We still had to clear all that away.
Yesterday was a lazy day—which for me means I finally had time for crafts.
I had a few more little rattle animals to make on commission, and they were picked up today. And then I worked on my mom’s Christmas present. I’m almost done.
Hi Heike,
my weekend was great. Our foster daughter’s children — my grandchildren — were here, and the place was really bustling. :-)
On the side, I used up some leftover yarn and crocheted a protective sleeping bag for my granddaughter’s favorite stuffed animal. You can find it in the “Reste-Beste” thread.
We all went for a walk together in perfect weather around the Burghausen castle grounds and then spent some time in the woods.
A truly wonderful and exceptionally beautiful weekend!
