Dear users, dear authors,
the week is over—now it’s time for a well-deserved weekend.
How was your week?
Did you have fun?
Did you get a lot done?
Do you have any fun, entertaining, or wonderful plans?
Let me know.
my week was—well, kind of weird.
We’re all feeling a little under the weather.
I didn’t do too much crocheting. But it’s all starting to take shape somehow
.
Today is my husband’s birthday, and we’ll be celebrating a bit today and tomorrow
.
On Sunday, we’ll be lounging around before we head into the new week.
My little girl has her first cello lesson today. I’m curious to see how it goes.
It’s been a hectic week. Lots to do at home and at work. I’ve got plans today, too, right up until tonight.
But then it’ll be quiet.
My husband is going to a Christmas party with his colleagues. He’s in the army, and his colleagues will be on a mission until the end of the year. That’s why they moved the party up so early.
That means I’ll be alone with the kids, and we’ll watch a cartoon. Or, if my son talks my daughter into it, we’ll watch a superhero movie. In any case, I’ll be crocheting while we watch.
Tomorrow is our winter gear swap. We’ll pick up the kids’ ski gear there. And then we finally have to winterize everything in the garden.
Sunday is our first ice-skating outing of the year. And in the afternoon, I’ll just take some time for myself and start working on the loop scarf that a coworker ordered. Thank goodness she doesn’t need it by Christmas, but I want to try out the new pattern.
I have to admit, my week was pretty laid-back. Yesterday we were invited over to a friend’s house, so we stayed out late, and today my head is throbbing a bit. Now I’m looking forward to a peaceful weekend. Apparently, it’s going to be perfect weather for crafts.
Since I received my new computer on Tuesday, I spent quite a bit of time setting it up, because unfortunately the technician couldn’t transfer all the necessary files from the old one—it kept crashing. So I transferred countless photos via a USB drive—and my crafting definitely took a back seat. During my train trips, I did at least knit a few sections of Drachenstrahl, and in between, I crocheted one and a half little angels (using a 1.5 or even 1.25 mm hook). Tonight I’ll pick up my needles while watching TV, and hopefully I’ll have some time this weekend, too!
Our week has been—and still is—exciting. My aunt is celebrating her 100th birthday. On Wednesday (the actual day), there was an apéritif at the retirement home, attended by the president of the regional government and the usher (unfortunately not in an official uniform). For 90th and 100th birthdays here, the government comes with a huge bouquet of flowers and a lovely gift.
Then on Sunday there’s the family celebration, which is just as exciting. Two family members are even popping over briefly—one from Sweden and one from somewhere in India. I probably won’t be doing much knitting this weekend.
Wishing you all an exciting and lovely weekend too
