Dear users, dear authors,
what are you working on right now?
Tell me about it.

Since the scrap-yarn shawl is now largely finished, I can get back to my socks. I’m also knitting a sweater (rather half-heartedly), and I’m currently crocheting a shopping bag.

I’m currently working my way through 10 boxes of Playmobil, so unfortunately I don’t have time for crocheting right now....

Hi Josefa,

I’ve been crocheting since I was about 12 or 13 years old.
Until recently, I always crocheted tablecloths, table runners, and so on, until I stumbled upon your site about two years ago and saw the amazing crochet projects. So I decided to try something different, and I’m really enjoying it. Recently, a friend asked me if I could crochet the “Oizo by Eric Flat” (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flat_Eric) for his car. I’ve already tried many different variations, but I’m getting frustrated. I can’t find any patterns online either.

Can you help me out?

Hello Zwilling77,
Welcome to our forum. When it comes to copyrighted products, it can be risky to offer patterns for them.
We have so many cute amigurumi in our shop—just click through and take a look. Maybe you’ll find something you like.

@Everyone reading this,
please don’t link to any relevant patterns here, thanks. External links aren’t allowed here anyway.

I’m crocheting door wreaths for a Christmas market and making stars and Santa figures that I’d like to sell there.

Best regards, Petra

Hello Zwilling77,

as Josefa already wrote, it's not that easy with licensed products.

But I might have an idea for you:
Try searching for the term "Schlenkertier".
There are also a few here on CP—just click here! :)

You might find something there that looks similar to the character, then you'll just have to improvise the details :)

I’m continuing to knit my wrist warmers, which are left over from “Scrap Week.”

I started them; one is finished by now, and I’ve started the second one.

I’m currently trying my hand at a baby blanket with a wide lace border that’s knitted from the outside in. Let’s see how long it takes me—the outer round alone seems endless.

I’m knitting my second Bobbel Dragon Beam, and in between, I’m crocheting little angels, stars, and snowflakes.

Aside from the what feels like thousands of craft projects I’m working on at the same time, I’m still crocheting my bathroom floor mat and my knee warmers. I only have about half an hour a day to work on these two projects before going to bed, and I don’t always feel like it, so it’s taking forever. Don’t be surprised if I mention them in the next 10 threads like this one :-D.

I scrapped my first piece for the color challenge.
Instead, I now have something else on the needles for the challenge.

My tablecloth is an UFO at the moment.

Yesterday I made some new salt dough.
I got the idea to work on a little Christmas tree for the table. Let’s see if it turns out the way I imagine it will; I’m also planning to work on an Advent wreath.
We all know here that bringing an idea to life takes time.
I only have time for that when the kids are off to school early.
So I’ve got my hands full.

Hi Josefa and everyone else,

I’m currently working on the second shawl for my eldest daughter.
Then I still have to make the sleigh for my reindeer, and
I’d love to start a new project tonight.

I’d love to start all my projects at once and work on each one a little bit every day ;-)
Okay, the Christmas things might not be finished until next year.

I’m really trying to get as much done as possible.
But I’m always short on time.

Best regards, Heike

I’m currently making a shawl using a CP pattern. It’s a gift for my mom, so it belongs in the Christmas thread too ;-)

Somehow I’ve got lots of things on the go right now ... I should join the UFO Queen ;-)
- socks for myself – my first pair of socks!
- sweater, almost finished, but only almost
- various animals for an English knitting magazine (of course they take priority over everything else, because there are fixed deadlines)
- and then a few more animals in various stages of completion
Sigh. The day would need to have 48 hours. Because there’s still the day job too ;-)

@roticanai,
Only 48 hours? You're modest ^^

I unexpectedly managed to get 2 days at the Christmas market (when I asked, I was actually thinking more of next year, since I was so late) ... and now I need to crochet something Christmassy - I'm a bit short on that front.... but now I've finally finished my UFOs and can get started - once I decide what to make

Best wishes, Sabine

Hi everyone!

Since the Christmas market is fast approaching—I’m already really looking forward to six wonderful days—I’m currently creating elves and fairies… and today, a rainbow fairy was born.

Best wishes

I finally finished a bigger project again yesterday. Now I’m waiting for the green light from my test crocheters, then I can upload it :-)
I’ve now started working on the pattern for the colour campaign—I already had the idea and the sketch—and now I hope that the final result will live up to my expectations and, of course, that customers will like it.

And once again, the arms and hands are missing… it’s enough to drive me crazy… lol

I'm currently working on a scarf for my husband. Maybe I'll make a matching hat to go with it.

As a little side project, I'm making a doily out of leftover yarn.

Update to my post from 11/09: the large gradient yarn shawl for my mom is finished, and the follow-up project—a cowl/shawl for me, also found on CP—will be finished today or tomorrow. Then another gradient yarn shawl will follow, but that one is for me ;-)

I’ve put my long-term projects aside once again and started a new crochet project. It’s going to be a whale music box. The whale is actually striped in the pattern, but my “big” grandson wants it to be blue on top and white on the bottom, just like a real blue whale. Now, as a beginner crocheter, I have to really think hard about how to solve this problem. After that, I’ll crochet a fox—also as a music box—which is meant for my new grandson.

I’m in the middle of the chaos of preparing for the Christmas market.... I’m definitely a bit out of character here—since, while there are Christmas decorations, of course, I’m actually in the process of turning my little animals into bedside lamps/night lights.... After all, a market at the Sterne Hotel needs something out of the ordinary, and whatever I don’t sell will be given to family members as gifts^^...

“Night Lights” sounds really good....
I’m knitting—my Fair Isle practice piece, with actual patterns and cutting it open (steek), and at the same time a cardigan similar to entrelac...
In between, I’m crocheting something small....
I can’t do without yarn...
“A day without yarn is possible, but it’s pretty pointless.”

That’s right: nothing works without yarn!

It’s interesting to read about what other people are making. There are some great ideas here. I’m impressed.
I’m working on a project that really requires patience. Double-faced knitting is beautiful—and addictive. But since the pieces are double-layered and therefore extra warm, the yarn is thinner, and there are a lot of stitches...
But I’ll get there—just a few more days, and then it’ll be done. I’m already looking forward to cold days ;-)

@ KirstenRi....

The pattern looks great.... Is it your own design? Will you post it here then?
Since last year I've been taking classes at the adult education center... My first one was double-face.... right now it's fair isle.... let's see what “we” come up with for the next class...

Hi Steffi, thanks for the compliment.
Yes, it’s a design of my own, and I was planning to write a pattern for it. But it still needs a little work. It’s not really something for the hectic Christmas season anyway.
Best regards,
Kirsten

Right now, I’m working on a Secret Santa gift.
My Secret Santa partner wants a scarf, and her favorite color is black.

Since I don’t have much time for it, I’m making a short scarf that fastens with buttons.

I finished the “Dragon Beam” this morning, and now I’ve started making wrist warmers for our daughter-in-law—we have a long train ride coming up tomorrow! The little angels still need a bit more sparkle, and they’re also waiting for some new little ones!

I'm still working on the Santa outfit. But it's coming along. I should have it done by Christmas. :-)

Yesterday I started on the Secret Santa gift for my coworker. I still had a beautiful crochet-covered vase from last summer in white and purple with lots of glitter. Now I’m making her some crochet-covered tea lights to go with it in the same colors. I’d like to put a winter forest bouquet in the vase and crochet a few stars to go with it, also in white and purple.
