Since it’s supposed to start getting colder soon—how about the “First Frost” shawl ?

The double crochet pattern is easy to memorize and work thanks to the crochet chart and illustrated step-by-step instructions, and the size can be adjusted as desired. Offset rows give the shawl diagonal edges, allowing it to be draped in many different ways. The bottom edge is decorated with beaded tassels, whose creation is described step by step in the pattern.

You don't need much preparation for this pattern. You probably already have everything you need at home.

Don't you also have lots of small bits of leftover yarn you'd like to use up? Make a little doll mom happy and crochet some winter clothes for her Barbie doll! You can use almost any leftover yarn that is reasonably thin. Depending on the type of yarn, you'll end up with very different outfits. The cut of the pants and sweater is kept very simple, so you can easily crochet a few stitches or rows more or fewer to make sure the clothes really fit.

You can find the pattern here!

A scarf made with gradient yarn is fun to knit and will surely be needed soon. You can find the pattern here.

This scarf is knitted from fine yarn in a lace and cable pattern. Yarn usage depends on the desired length.
The pattern looks much more complicated than it is—you don’t even need a cable needle for the cables.

You can make great progress on a crochet shawl in just one weekend. And during the week, you can relax and continue working on it in the evenings. The shawl features a simple lace pattern and is finished with a ruffled edge. It’s crocheted using sock yarn.

You can find the pattern here.

You can easily make a warm winter hat in a weekend and then enjoy the sense of accomplishment. It is knitted from yarn with a yardage of approx. 114 m per 50 g. The pattern is an interesting textured pattern that is also very stretchy and adapts well to different head sizes. It is shown in a knitting chart and also written out round by round.

Before:

and After:

If you have some felting wool on hand at home, you can get started right away with this pattern and make beautiful, colorful felted slippers (sizes 24 to 45) for yourself, your family, or friends. The slipper is knitted, and the colorful collar is crocheted directly onto it. The washing machine does the felting.

The pattern describes and shows in detail, step by step, how to do it.

Best wishes, and have fun with this project. Yours, Ina

P.S. The pink ones here are for my sister Elke :-) She picked out these colors especially from me. This way, you can make felt slippers for everyone in their favorite colors.

Another lovely, creative weekend project is this crocheted basket made from leftover yarn. It’s so sturdy and keeps its shape because we work a plastic clothesline into it as a spiral guide. You decide the size yourself. Filled with something nice, it would also make a lovely gift for someone special. I’m sure you still have a clothesline and some leftover yarn lying around, right? Then let’s get started—feel free to read the 220 reviews and 31 comments on this basket and get inspired to make this project. Every basket will be one of a kind—and exactly as big and colorful as you want it to be.

Have a lovely, creative weekend—Ina

A sweet weekend project
- how about using little socks like these as a "savings stocking," perhaps (it would at least fill up quickly :-)

Knitting pattern for baby socks with a cable pattern

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Baby socks with a cable pattern, knitted from especially soft cashmere sock yarn (Comfort sock yarn) or alpaca sock yarn (from ApuKuntur), are very temperature-regulating and cuddly soft.

They can also be repurposed, e.g. as "packaging" for cash gifts, jewelry, or similar. I once packaged my wedding cash gift like this.

Included in the download :

  • PDF knitting pattern, 18 pages (actually already a sock-knitting course), detailed and illustrated for size 15 (newborns); larger sizes can easily be knitted according to the attached table information
  • PDF supplementary handwritten sketch
  • PDF baby sock table for sizes 15 - 20
  • PDF sock table from size 22 (up to 47)
Required materials: for sizes 15 to 22 approx. 15 g 4-ply sock yarn (leftover yarn), set of double-pointed needles size 2.5, cable needle, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle.

Making this star is a perfect weekend activity: Once you’ve started, you’ll want to finish crafting the star as quickly as possible, and it would be such a shame if you had to go to work in between.

The Advent star is made from photo cardstock and measures approx. 28 cm in diameter. It’s easy to make, but requires a little patience and accuracy.

"Christmas Spirit" tablecloth—with a twist .... as a mat for the Christmas tree stand.A tablecloth with a diameter of approx. 48 cm in a beautiful dark green color with a touch of silver glitter. Very suitable for the Christmas season, it can be used not only as a tablecloth, but also looks very good as a mat for the Christmas tree stand. It can be crocheted quickly, has an easy difficulty level, and should not be a problem for a beginner. The detailed pattern consists of 15 pages and is described step by step in German with 32 photos.

A great tip for a Christmas gift the whole family will love is this guard duo, Owl and Teddy Bear. They can be reliably put to use on any room door. Yes, kids want to be alone in their rooms sometimes too. :-)

These bodyguards are easy for beginners to crochet. The pattern describes everything in detail, with photos and explanations included.

The owl and the teddy bear are also available individually as patterns in my shop.

Here’s the value set for the Guard Owl and Guard Teddy Bear.
