Dear users, dear authors,
summer has long since passed; now it’s fall, and winter is already on its way. If you have enough warm socks and cozy slippers / house socks / slippers, you don’t need to worry about cold feet or cool floors.
Start crafting now.

Mod tip: As a reward for bravely making it through the frosty winter days, early spring / spring / Easter awaits, along with lots of flowers, chicks, and pleasant days in the garden, at the park, and at the pool.

@Authors,
2–3 patterns per author are enough. Don’t forget the link and image, as well as the usual info.

Baby socks in various styles—there are no limits to your imagination.

Warm socks for cold days and cold floors are a real treat. These ones have a special heel—you don’t have to calculate, add up, or halve the rounds at all. You simply increase and decrease stitches in the right places. The heel fits just as well as the one with the heel flap.
Warm socks also make a great Christmas gift.
What’s more, I don’t use any abbreviations in my patterns.

Knitting Socks Without a Fiddly Heel (Size 38/39)

You’ll need 100 g of sock yarn. The socks look best in gradient yarn.
You’ll also need a set of double-pointed needles in sizes 3.0 to 3.5.
And you’re ready to go.
Have fun knitting!

Even warmer, made from 6-ply sock yarn:

Knitting pattern
Socks made from 6-ply yarn - tutorial with charts for all sizes

(For purchase/download, please click the image)

Socks made from 6-ply sock yarn are a bit thicker – and therefore also warmer – and, above all, quicker to knit than socks made from 4-ply yarn. They are usually preferred for house socks and bed socks, cabin socks, or even for hiking in mountain boots. Men love socks like these in work shoes.

This is basically a sock knitting tutorial, illustrated in detail using children's socks in size 32/33.

All other sizes can be knitted according to the corresponding chart information for 6-ply sock yarn .

Included in the download :

  • PDF sock knitting pattern - illustrated step by step (22 pages)
  • Baby sock chart for 6-ply sock yarn, from newborns up to shoe size 20
  • Sock chart for 6-ply sock yarn, children's socks up to adult shoe size 47
We need
1 skein = 150 g (yardage approx. 420 m to 450 m) up to shoe size 44; 200 g – 250 g from size 45, of a 6-ply sock yarn, set of double-pointed needles 3.5; row counter is helpful; measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.

Note:
For 4-ply sock yarns (comfortable to wear in winter shoes/boots), there is a separate sock knitting tutorial with corresponding charts here in my shop at https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/5603/sockenstrick-lehrgang-fuer-4-faediges-garn-alle-groessen-fuer-baby-kinder-damen-herrensocken

These socks have a wavy, two-color pattern. They’re not exactly easy to knit, so you should have a little experience. Knitting charts help you follow the pattern.

You can find the pattern here.

Not to be underestimated: warm feet despite the lace pattern with these:

Relax Socks 6-ply in a simple eyelet pattern - knitting pattern

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Knitting pattern for pretty and, above all, comfortable wellness/relax/house socks with a loose cuff, which can also be rolled down – so “nothing digs in.”

Leg height as desired. The simple lace pattern consists of only 2 pattern rows.

  • In size 36/37, these socks are suitable for a somewhat wider foot,

  • in sizes 41 to 43 for feet that tend to be narrower and normal-width
The PDF knitting pattern is written for sizes 36 to 43 and illustrated.

General knitting skills required. We knit with a set of double-pointed needles. Difficulty level: intermediate

We need 1 ball = 150 g (yardage approx. 420 m to 450 m of a 6-ply sock yarn, here for the short leg of approx. 10 cm used: approx. 70 g for shoe size 39 Lungauer sock wool by Ferner Wolle (it is beautifully soft) made of 75% merino, 25% polyamide; gauge approx. 22 sts x 31 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm; set of double-pointed needles 3.5–4.0; row counter is helpful; tape measure, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.

Enjoy knitting and warm, relaxed feet.

I thought for a long time about how I could make the soles of knitted socks a little thicker. And I came up with something—take a look at how I knitted thick socks with extra-thick soles:

Men get cold feet too—unless we knit them warm felted boots. These gray-green ones in the photo belong to my husband. He loves them dearly, and they look pretty good on him too (... he didn’t want to be completely in the picture :-))

You can make the felted boots in sizes 24 to 48 for yourself, your children, grandchildren, or friends. The shoe is knitted, and the colorful cuff is crocheted on right away. You can choose the colors however you like. If it’s not meant to be a surprise, you should ask the new owner about their preferred colors. Anything is possible. Feel free to take a look at my examples. The washing machine takes care of the felting all by itself.

In the detailed pattern, I show and describe everything very precisely and thoroughly for you over 30 pages—from the first stitch to the sole.

I hope you enjoy the pattern. Yours, Ina

PS. In my experience, men always want inconspicuous gray, and children love it colorful ...

I am a big fan of textured patterns, and in winter I love nothing more than cozy, hand-knitted socks—and maybe you feel exactly the same? Then the GALADRIEL socks with the so-called "pinwheel pattern" are sure to be a wonderful project for you! There is a knitting chart for the pattern, but it is also described in writing row by row, so everyone can work according to their preference. The knitting pattern covers every single section of the socks in great detail, from the leg to the three-part heel to the toe, so you’ll be sure to reach your goal!

Sizes: 37 - 42
Difficulty level: for advanced knitters
Material: all 4-ply sock yarns as well as a size 2.5 set of double-pointed needles

And here’s the pattern: GALADRÎEL socks

Have fun knitting,
Annette

I actually usually only knit wool socks, but now that I see these slippers, I'm really excited. Maybe I should expand my sock horizons and switch to shoes! Thanks for the great ideas!
