Crochet Hat for Everyone - very easy

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

A beginner-friendly, easy-to-crochet hat for various styles, so ONE hat model can be worn in all the pictured variations, for both men and women. Also easy to make for children or as a simple hat for babies (though thinner yarn is recommended).

  • no gauge swatch (it doesn’t depend on exact centimeters),
  • no increases or decreases,
  • for any yarn you like
  • possible in all sizes.

The PDF pattern is illustrated.

These crochet skills are needed: chain stitches, single crochet.
Everything else, including slip stitches, is explained. Video link tips for learning to crochet for beginners are included in the PDF.

Materials
: for the pictured model with a head circumference of 55 cm to 60 cm: approx. 250 g merino yarn, 50 g – 45 m, crochet hook 6.0; measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends. The ribbed pattern requires approx. 50 g more yarn than is usually needed for hats. The crochet hook size should match the yarn used in each case.

Beginners will also enjoy a shawl like this:

Crochet Pattern Triangle Shawl FARBENSPIEL

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Fun for beginners and experienced crocheters.

Cheerfully colorful – in your desired colors (also great for using up scraps, if desired), this triangle shawl can be crocheted quickly by experienced crocheters in just a few evenings – very relaxing..
and a wonderful gift for all kinds of occasions.

These crochet skills are enough:
chain stitches, single crochet, and slip stitches (all explained with pictures)

Materials:
Basically, you can use any yarn of your choice with the appropriate hook size; especially wonderful for thin yarns, lace yarns / gradient yarns (e.g., cakes).

For the size crocheted here, I used: approx. 350 g cotton yarn total, Limone/Catania, 100% cotton, 50 g – 125 m, any color choice, here 8 colors (partly using up scraps); according to the yarn label, for hook size 2.5 – 3.5; used here: 3.5 crochet hook. We also need: yarn needle for weaving in ends, scissors. A stitch marker is helpful for beginners, and pins for blocking.

Wonderfully simple:

Crochet pattern for a poncho with Möbius cowl collar (loop) - simple

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

With bulky yarn, both are quick and easy to crochet...

With this crochet technique, you can decide while crocheting how large the poncho should be – you simply stop crocheting when you like the size.

Poncho and Möbius scarf are made with thick gradient yarn, 100 g – 100 m, and an 8.0 mm crochet hook. Yarn needed for both pieces: approx. 700 g.

The PDF pattern includes the poncho and Möbius scarf and is illustrated.

These crochet skills are required:
chain stitches, single crochet, slip stitches, crocheting in rows, crocheting in rounds.

By the way: in a Möbius scarf, the pattern you are making is mirrored, i.e. one horizontal half appears like the right outer side, while the second half appears like the wrong inner side of the pattern.
This creates clever effects, depending on how the scarf is wrapped and how the pattern falls.

Learn Tunisian crochet with this potholder:

Potholder 'It's so green' - Tunisian crochet

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Both the PDF pattern for the potholder and the pattern for the crochet flower(s) are illustrated step by step.

Materials
:
For 1 standard-size potholder, 21 cm x 21 cm:
50 g light green + 50 g dark green crochet yarn made of 100% cotton/plant fiber for heat resistance, e.g. Schoeller+Stahl Record 210, 50 g - 90 m, according to the label 16 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm), so 50 g per color for the Tunisian crochet hook up to max. size 4.5.

For the flower(s), a leftover amount of cotton yarn is sufficient, e.g. Catania (Schachenmayr) or Limone (Schoeller+Stahl) for crochet hook size 2.5 - 3.5.

Note: heat-resistant cotton yarn (= potholder yarn) is only lightly twisted and therefore difficult to crochet with, especially for beginners, because the yarn splits very easily. So if heat resistance is not that important to you, e.g. if you don't place a hot pot on the potholder, you can also crochet with a cotton blend yarn, e.g. Pantino by Schoeller+Stahl.

In addition, we need a measuring tape, scissors, and a yarn needle for weaving in ends

General crochet skills are sufficient; the Tunisian crochet technique is explained with pictures.

This flowerpot cover with a poinsettia is a great project for beginners. However, you should have some basic knowledge, such as single crochet, double crochet, post double crochet, and crocheting in the round. Everything else is clearly explained in the pattern and supplemented with many detailed photos.

In such decorative packaging, a poinsettia (potted plant) instantly looks more special. This gift is always well-received.

The “Ghost” bookmark is super easy to crochet and won’t pose any difficulties for beginners. Plus, it’s quick to make, so it’s ideal if you’re still a bit impatient when you’re just starting out with crochet. You probably already have the leftover thin white cotton yarn you’ll need for this at home, so you won’t have to buy any extra yarn. It also makes a very nice little gift to bring to a Halloween party!
