Dear users, dear authors,
we’re going on safari and meeting lots of animals there that you’d otherwise only see in the zoo, out in the wild. It’s going to be great.
Fasten your seat belts, we’re about to take off.

Shop animals now.

Moderator tip: The mermaids, owls, and unicorns would rather stay at home, but the flamingos absolutely wanted to come along.

@Authors,
2-3 patterns per author are enough. Don’t forget the link and image, as well as the usual information about the material, technique, difficulty level, and what makes the pattern special.

Hippo, lion, and monkey always have lots of fun together, whether in the wild, at the zoo, or, once you've crocheted them, at your home.

The little finger puppets are 9–10 cm tall and are crocheted from leftover cotton yarn (Catania - LL 125m/50g). Make your children happy and crochet this little zoo for them!
The pattern includes many pictures and is also suitable for beginners.

There he is already—the proud flamingo! He strides majestically through the shallow water and catches a few small crabs every now and then.
He’ll definitely look great on your desk, too. To crochet him, you’ll need leftover pink cotton or fluffy yarn, a little gray, black, and white, wire for the legs, stuffing, and safety eyes.
The crochet pattern is available here!

The little lion Lennox fits perfectly in any zoo

You should be able to do this
  • Crocheting single crochet in spiral rounds
  • Making a magic ring
  • Slip stitches
  • Sewing the individual pieces together
  • In other words, basic crochet skills
25-page crochet pattern with lots of pictures for every step. I also won’t leave you on your own when it comes to sewing the individual pieces together. Difficulty level: Easy, but you should already have worked in spiral rounds. What you need:
  • Approx. 20g of yarn (Schoeller Stahl Zimba medium in color 0218) in the color you want your lion to be. The yarn should be suitable for a 3mm crochet hook (Schoeller Stahl recommends a 3.5mm hook, but it works really well with a 3mm hook)
  • Approx. 20g of yarn for the lion’s mane (I used eyelash yarn, but normal leftover yarn works great too).
  • White leftover yarn suitable for a 2mm crochet hook
  • Brown yarn for the nose
  • Safety eyes (8 mm)
  • Stuffing
  • Scissors, darning needle
  • Stitch marker
  • Pins to secure the individual limbs before sewing them together

There are lots of wonderful animals to discover on a safari. One of them is a rhino—just like Nils

Nils the Rhino also has a big horn like his fellow rhinos from Africa, but he is by no means dangerous and just wants to be cuddled.

Using the specified materials, Nils the Rhino will be an impressive 44 cm long. For making him, I recommend cotton yarn because of its lovely smooth stitch definition. This means the little cuddly friend can also be washed if a mishap happens.

The pattern includes many step-by-step photos that make it easier to follow. However, basic crochet skills (single crochet, increases/decreases, etc.) are required.

The following materials are needed to make him:
  • 250 g cotton yarn in light gray
  • 50 g cotton yarn in white
  • safety eyes, 15 mm, in brown-black
  • stuffing
  • crochet hook size 3

There are lots of animals to discover in my shop,
but how about a safari for Christmas,
a different animal behind each Advent calendar door every day?
My animals are all kept simple and are therefore suitable for beginners too.

At the moment, the selection includes 30 animals
