I discovered the latest trend at a yarn shop: hand-crocheted bath sponges

Trend

Materials:
  • Creative Bubble, 90 m/50 g
  • Crochet hook size 4
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle
  • Pins
The bath sponge is crocheted using single crochet stitches. The bath sponge consists of 2 trees and matching baubles. They are then sewn together around the outside.

Have fun with it!

This zigzag loop scarf is absolutely “trendy,” and knitted
in your favorite color, it’s a truly one-of-a-kind piece!

The model was knitted from Schoppel Zauberball with size 3 needles,

the pattern uses only knit stitches; in the pattern everything is
explained simply row by row, including pictures.

Everyone will enjoy knitting it.

Möbius is an ongoing trend, so get to know it:

3 Techniques - Knitted Möbius Scarf-Collar-Headband

(For purchase/download, please click the image)

Here the basic principle and three cast-on techniques for knitting Möbius scarves/loops are presented. Try them out and choose your favorite method :-)

The PDF pattern is illustrated in detail and contains 2 patterns (see image).

Model 1 – Colorful - is a Möbius loop/scarf with a circumference of approx. 90 cm and a height of approx. 20 cm, which can be worn wonderfully in different ways as a shoulder warmer and neck warmer (see image). For this we only need 1 ball of Woolly Hugs Bandy, here color no. 7, 100 g – 210 m, 100% cotton, gauge according to the yarn label: 14 sts x 20 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm; circular knitting needle size 6.0 with a cable length of 1 m; stitch marker; measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends. If needed, a small leftover amount of a slightly thinner, color-coordinated yarn (e.g. Record
210 – potholder yarn, here in green) and crochet hook 4.5.

Model II – Möbius Collar in Milk White nestles wonderfully against the neck like a turtleneck, but can also be worn as a headband. This model makes a wonderful gift and can be knitted in just a few hours. For this we only need 1 ball of merino yarn, 50 g – 85 m, e.g. Merino 85 by Austermann or Schachenmayr, 100% merino, according to the yarn label for needle size 6–7 and a gauge of 16 sts x 22 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm. Used here: circular knitting needle 6.0, cable length 80 cm to 100 cm; stitch marker; measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.

Both models are worked in a simple reversible rib pattern.

These knitting skills are required:
cast on stitches, knit and purl stitches, knitting in the round, knit stitches together, purl stitches together, yarn over, bind off. A basic knitting course is not included, but link tips are.

Have lots of Möbius fun!

A trend is whatever I like! But no one can seem to escape the new “flamingo” trend, especially since the flamingo is considered a symbol of love.
You can crochet this pink flamingo very quickly using a few pieces of leftover pink yarn (cotton and fuzzy yarn). For the thin legs, you’ll need some wire. To make sure the flamingo stands securely, it’s attached to a cork disc. A pretty eye-catcher on your desk or bookshelf!

Plaid patterns are very trendy. Big checks, small checks—it doesn’t matter. To go with that, I’d like to show you my plaid hat.

Here is the pattern for it.

It is knitted, with the plaid pattern shown in a knitting chart. You’ll need yarn (114 m per 50 g) in two colors and 4 mm knitting needles.
Not necessarily suitable for beginners, but possibly as an introduction to two-color knitting. The pattern is available in 4 different sizes.

Thick, puffy scarves are also very popular right now. This one is crocheted and lots of fun. With its playful fringes, it looks like a centipede. The pattern is beginner-friendly—you just need to know how to do chain stitches and double crochet.

Shopping nets are absolutely on trend because they replace unnecessary plastic bags! How about this beautiful model, which also brings good cheer along the way?

Thanks to the filet pattern, this lovely shopping net is quick to make. It’s a real helper in everyday life and protects the environment. With its lettering, it spreads good cheer and also makes a great gift for good friends.

Here’s the pattern

The pattern is described in detail with a counted pattern, crochet chart, and lots of pictures.

Beautiful and unique jewelry never goes out of style. Here I have a suggestion that truly comes from the heart:

Sweet wrap bracelet - quick to crochet. The eye-catcher on any wrist. Super
comfortable to wear. Also a great gift or small present.

The bracelet can also be worn as a super sweet anklet. And if you simply make it longer, it becomes a chic, delicate belt.

The bracelet is crocheted in one piece, so there’s no annoying weaving in of ends (only the starting and ending yarn tails). So grab your yarn and a crochet hook and get started.

Here’s the pattern

Material: Anchor Aida crochet thread, 1.5 mm crochet hook, sewing needle
Required basic skills: chain stitch, slip stitch, double crochet, and treble crochet

Detailed description as a PDF file with text, images, and crochet chart.

And of course, stylish shawls are always on trend. How about my newest shawl, “Gentle Breeze”?

Thanks to the lace pattern, it drapes wonderfully loosely and softly. This makes it very comfortable and wearable in many different ways.

Crocheted with 1 Bobbel (yardage 800 m / 200 g) and a 3.00 mm hook.

Here’s the pattern

Suitable for beginners.
Required prior knowledge: chain stitch, half double crochet, double crochet, double treble crochet
Detailed description as a PDF file with text, crochet chart, and step-by-step photos.

The days are getting shorter, it’s getting colder, and coziness is returning to our homes. Christmas is fast approaching, along with all kinds of treats like nuts, chocolate, and of course little gingerbread men ...and since Christmas is the celebration of love, the little gingerbread man is bringing his gingerbread woman along too.

Crochet these two sweet egg cozies, including the candy cane, and decorate your Christmas breakfast table with this lovely gingerbread couple!

Red is on trend, and leggings for children always are. After all, they like things comfy and snugly warm. These leggings are knitted seamlessly from the top down and have a perfect fit—with or without diapers.  They fit from about 1.5 to 3 years, so they grow with your child.

Even beginners with basic skills can work well with this knitting pattern.

I knitted the Zibba shawl using 4-ply sock yarn. The pattern is very easy to follow and is perfectly
suited for beginners. The knitting pattern does not include a chart; instead, all
rows are explained in written form to make recreating the project as easy as
possible. The little highlight of this “dragon’s tail” shawl is
the bobbles along the edge. They make the shawl something truly special. Whether you use
gradient yarn or solid colors, the shawl always looks fantastic.
You should know how to: knit, purl, yarn over, increase stitches, cast on new stitches, and bind off.
