Triangular scarf for baby and toddler (approx. 1 to 3 years) knitting

Little ones love being outside in (almost) any weather. Especially right now, splashing in muddy puddles is such special fun, isn’t it? ;-)
To keep their neck nice and warm, you can knit this wonderfully soft and practical triangular scarf.

The specified yarns come in a huge range of colors—how about a scarf to match the new winter jacket? :-)

Click here and you’ll go straight to the pattern!

Even beginners will have knitting fun and success here!

You’ll need the following knitting skills for this project:
  • cast on stitches
  • knit knit stitches
  • increase stitches through the back loop from the strand between stitches (there’s a great photo tutorial for this)
  • knit 2 stitches together (there’s a great photo tutorial for this)
  • bind off

A beginner-friendly crochet pattern: Easy Baby Crochet Shoes

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

This is an illustrated crochet pattern for very easy-to-crochet baby shoes.

Basic crochet skills are enough.

We need:

approx. 50 g cotton (blend) yarn with a yardage of approx. 90 m per 50 g, for (knitting) needle size 4.0–5.0; used here: crochet hook 4.5; however, thinner yarn can also be used—the specified measurements are what matters (check gauge), leftover yarn for the bows or 2 pretty buttons, yarn needle, measuring tape, scissors

In addition to the detailed pattern, I have also made a short crochet pattern (sketch) as well as a short pattern for the knitted version.

By the way: cash gifts can also be “wrapped” this way..

Have fun “crocheting/knitting around baby feet” :-)

Babies just need a music box to fall asleep! This little lamb can make a very special gift for a newborn, because not only is it hand-crocheted, but it also plays a melody you’ve personally chosen. The little lamb is crocheted entirely using single crochet stitches. If you use the recommended fluffy yarn, it will be extra cuddly and big enough to fit the music box inside its belly. It’s sure to become a much-loved bedtime companion!
You can download the pattern here!

I have a baby hat for experienced knitters. It features cables and two-tone vertical ribs, so you need to pay close attention while knitting. Mine has yellow cables inspired by the fairy tale of Rapunzel, but of course the color choice is entirely up to you.

You can find the pattern here.

This baby pinafore dress will grow with your child for at least a year—from 6 to 18 months. It is knitted in one piece from the bottom up, so it has no seams.

The little dress is also easy for knitting beginners with basic skills to make. Everything is clearly explained in the pattern and supplemented with photos. Of course, the hearts are also included as a chart.

Here is the knitting pattern for the baby pinafore dress that grows with your child.

How about a pair of booties—knitted and crocheted?

The booties are knitted with a set of double-pointed needles, and the top edge is then crocheted. The shorter the yarn length, the larger the booties will be. This pattern is also ideal for using up leftover yarn.
