LOOK UP instead of Calculate - PDF table for knitting and crocheting

(For purchase/download, please click the image)

This is one of my most popular calculation aids - a PDF table for determining the number of stitches to cast on:LOOK UP instead of Calculate - whether printed out or always at hand on a smartphone, this PDF table is simply practical for on the go.

Crochet or knit a gauge swatch (at least 10 cm x 10 cm), count how many stitches make up 10 cm, and
then conveniently look up in the table how many stitches need to be cast on for the desired measurement.

(Tip: For projects where "number of stitches divisible by..." is required, there is a formula-based Excel table: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/15114/maschenprobe-umrechnungstabelle-haekeln.
An Excel table requires a spreadsheet program (e.g., LibreOffice is available free online).)

For anyone who likes to wear ponchos in the fall and winter, I’d like to recommend ASTERIA.

This pattern is an easy beginner model. The shape of the five points is created through skillful increases and decreases.

This model can be knitted for children from 12 months up to elementary school age, as well as for adults. Only the yardage changes.

The adjusted stitch counts for a different gauge or yarn are easy to calculate. • Formulas for calculating other sizes are included

in the pattern. What do you need to know? • Cast on • Knit and purl stitches • kfb (knit-front-back) increase • Knit stitches together • Bind off

The basic techniques listed are not explained in the pattern.

A real eye-catcher for Halloween: the bat string lights make the little bats’ eyes glow in a delightfully spooky way. You can quickly crochet a string of bat lights like this using leftover black yarn. Instead of stuffing, the LED lights are inserted inside. (Important: Do not use incandescent bulbs—they get hot!) How many bats you need to crochet depends on the length of your string of lights. Here, 5 bats were used for a 10-light string (one light per eye).
You can also use the bats to make a mobile.
Difficulty level of the pattern: easy.

The “Heaven and Earth” shawl is truly heavenly.
It’s easy and enjoyable to knit from a gradient yarn cake. In every color combination I’ve seen so far, the shawl looks unique and exclusive, and few people think it’s possible that it can be knitted from just one yarn cake with a length of about 900 meters.
And it’s actually quite simple.
The detailed pattern explains step by step how it’s done. A little prior knitting experience is an advantage.
Apart from the yarn cake, all you need is a suitable circular needle and you’re ready to get started...

How time flies! There’s only a month and a half left until the first Advent calendar window is opened. With this calendar, however, it’s a little box that will be unwrapped on December 1st, and if you start crafting right away, you’ll still have enough time to finish making the calendar
and fill it at your leisure.

This Advent calendar is made of photo cardstock and measures approximately 28 x 4.5 x 32 cm. The individual boxes measure approximately 4.5 x 4.5 x 7.8 cm; they’re glued in just one spot and held together by three tabs. The calendar is very easy to make and is also suitable for beginners.

I knitted the Zibba shawl from 4-ply sock yarn. The pattern is very easy to work and is perfectly
suited for beginners. The knitting pattern does not include a chart; instead, all
rows are explained in writing to make it as easy as
possible to recreate. The little highlight of this dragon tail shawl is
the bobbles along the edge. They make the shawl something very special. Whether with
gradient yarn or solid colors, the shawl always looks fantastic.
You should know how to: knit stitches, purl stitches, yarn overs, increase stitches,
cast on new stitches, and bind off.

This simple triangular shawl is knitted from one skein (400 meters) of sock yarn and is very easy to follow. The
lace pattern is presented in a professional knitting chart, and
if you prefer to work from written instructions, you can also find them
in the pattern. Do you have extra yarn lying around? No
problem. The shawl can easily be made larger.

A classic for every year - Watch out, shark (sock)  --> Here is the crochet pattern

The cuddly yet cool shark socks make a really great gift for everyone. An absolute classic among unusual slipper socks. They’re also perfect if you like having warm feet yourself but don’t want to wear just ordinary slipper socks, because winter comes faster than you think and then you’ll definitely need something warm.

The measurements correspond to sock size 39/40, but they can also be worn with size 41 or size 38.

There is also a short help video on YouTube for this pattern.

Furthermore, the pattern is also available for little babies in my shop!

Difficulty level: advanced beginner/intermediate

What you need for it:

White and gray yarn from Gründl Happy (1 skein each, 100 g/250 m yardage), anti-pilling, some stuffing, buttons (black), yarn needle and 3.5 mm crochet hook

Crochet pattern for a storage basket with lid, 2 sizes

This storage basket is perfect for storing lots of small things. And with its lid, it’s also great for keeping some things a little more discreetly tucked away.

The lid is conveniently designed with a button as a handle, so you can put it on and take it off perfectly. (not difficult to attach)

It also makes a wonderful gift, perhaps for Mother’s Day, a birthday, or simply just because.
In an 11-page pattern in PDF format, I have described and illustrated everything step by step. The storage basket is very sturdy because both the base and the lid are crocheted double, ideally with pure cotton. This gives it more stability.

Also suitable for beginners!
Small storage basket:
7 cm wide/ 5 cm high
Large storage basket:
12 cm wide/ 6 cm high

Material
  • Yarn for hook size 3-4 (Catania Grande, for example) - pure cotton
  • Yarn for hook size 2.5-3.5 (double strand) (Catania Color, for example) - pure cotton
  • Hook sizes 4.0 and 3.5
  • Scissors
  • Button (preferably for a chef’s jacket) - you can find where to buy these in my pattern
You should know how to do this
  • Chain stitch
  • Single crochet
  • Slip stitch
  • Half double crochet
  • Double crochet
