The blanket is knitted from 100% very soft merino wool. Its unstretched dimensions are approximately 73 x 77 cm. The size can be adjusted as desired.
The edge of the blanket is crocheted. All steps are described in detail in the pattern.
You’ll need the following materials:
- Size 4 circular knitting needles – length at least 60 cm
- 300 g of merino wool in the main color—here light yellow—yarn length 105 m/50 g
- 100 g of wool for the hearts—here, pink (same quality as the main color)
- 1 wool needle for weaving in ends
- 1 size 4 crochet hook
- A few stitch markers
Here, we used Drops Merino Extra Fine Superwash yarn made from 100% virgin merino wool—in light yellow and pink. It’s fantastic for baby items. The pink can also be easily replaced with purple or any other color.
My gauge:
10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch = 21 stitches and 28 rows
