Wasti the dachshund can be crocheted from colorful leftover yarn. Once finished, he’ll happily hold your crochet hooks or pens in his belly, helping to keep your study organized. Wasti also makes a lovely gift for a preschooler, who’ll be very proud of this very special pencil case.

The limited Christmas yarns from Ferner are back, like the ones used here:

Knitting pattern
Socks made from 6-ply yarn - course with tables for all sizes

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Socks made from 6-ply sock yarn are a little thicker – and therefore also warmer – and, above all, quicker to knit than socks made from 4-ply yarn. They are usually preferred as house and bed socks, cabin socks, or also for hiking in mountain boots. Men love socks like these in work shoes.

This is basically a sock-knitting course, illustrated in detail using children’s socks in size 32/33.

All other sizes can be knitted according to the corresponding table information for 6-ply sock yarn .

Included in the download :

  • PDF sock knitting pattern - illustrated step by step (22 pages)
  • Baby sock table for 6-ply sock yarn for newborns up to shoe size 20
  • Sock table for 6-ply sock yarn, children’s socks up to adult shoe size 47
We need
1 ball = 150 g (yardage approx. 420 m to 450 m) up to shoe size 44; 200 g – 250 g from size 45 of a 6-ply sock yarn, here the especially soft Christmas yarn color 02 “Mally Socks – Lungauer Sockenwolle” by Ferner Wolle was used, 75% merino, 25% polyamide; gauge approx. 22 sts x 31 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm; set of double-pointed needles 3.5; row counter is helpful; tape measure, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.

PS:
For 4-ply sock yarns, there is a separate sock-knitting course with corresponding tables here in my shop at https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/5603/sockenstrick-lehrgang-fuer-4-faediges-garn-alle-groessen-fuer-baby-kinder-damen-herrensocken

This colorful sweater for toddlers makes fall just a little bit more vibrant.

What makes this polo sweater special is that it has almost no seams (just at the top of the shoulder). It’s knitted from the bottom up.

The pattern for the polo sweater is 10 pages long, including photos, and is suitable for experienced beginners with the basic skills listed here.

The following basic skills are required:

  • knit and purl stitches
  • knit through the back loop
  • yarn over (you’ll need this for the buttonhole)
  • Increasing stitches (the different methods are described)
  • Increasing stitches
  • Bind off stitches
  • Kitchener stitch for knit stitches (for sewing together at the shoulder—or simply crochet them together)
  • Color change (for the stripes)
  • Embroidering knit stitches onto knitted pieces
  • Picking up stitches to begin knitting (here, the sleeve)
Many steps are illustrated with photos.

The sweater’s measurements:

  • Total length of the sweater: 35 cm
  • Width across the chest: 27 cm (cuff unstretched: 21–22 cm)
  • Sleeve length from the start of knitting: 27 cm
  • Sleeve width at the top: 12 cm
  • Sleeve width at the cuff: 6 cm
Size: Based on my estimate, this should be size 86 / 92 or 98 for children aged 1 1/2 to about 2 1/2 years.
The sweater can be easily adjusted for other sizes. To do so, simply note the measurements and adjust the width, length, and sleeve measurements accordingly.

With this wonderfully warm scarf collar, nothing can go wrong for men or women on cold days...
... and it’s trendy on top of that!

The beautiful textured pattern adds stability and a woven structure.
Once you’ve crocheted the pattern repeat, you’ll have the hang of it -
even beginners will enjoy this pattern.

A detailed step-by-step explanation guides you through the crochet pattern.
For clarification, the pattern includes 1 crochet chart.
In addition, a template with an integrated diagram helps you through the crochet process.

When unrolled, the scarf has a size of about 27 x 96 cm.
However, it can easily be made smaller or larger as needed.
The included template and the gauge help with this.

And here’s where to find the pattern and more details...

The “Shining Hearts” motif shawl stands out with its gorgeous color gradient, which really lets the bold colors shine! ♥

Using the materials listed, it has a width of 1.50 m, but it can be crocheted larger or smaller at any time, making it suitable for all ages.

To crochet the shawl, you’ll need the following:

♦ about 450 meters of 4-ply gradient yarn (50% cotton, 50% acrylic)
♦ a 3.5 mm crochet hook. You should know the following stitches: chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, double crochet

The pattern provides step-by-step instructions with plenty of pictures and a crochet chart for the first few rows; after that, you can work from the chart.

Get the pattern here and get started right away!

Have fun! :)

Beanie for HER and HIM - crochet pattern

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Cotton makes it very comfortable to wear and gives it a summery lightness.
If you use merino yarn or alpaca in a comparable weight, this hat will be warm for fall and winter.

The short pattern for this easy-to-crochet hat is written in two sizes:

  • 52 cm – 56 cm and
  • 57 cm – 60 cm                 head circumference

Material:
approx. 100 g total cotton (blend) yarn, colors of your choice, 50 g = 100 m yardage, hook 4 - 5 – crochet hook 4.5 used here; gauge according to the yarn label: 18 sts = 10 cm, here: 14 hdc = 10 cm

Basic crochet skills and crocheting in rounds are sufficient.

Included in the download :

  • PDF crochet pattern in short form (2 pages, cover image included)
  • PDF Crochet Basics – illustrated basic crochet techniques
