These gingerbread heart potholders fit perfectly into any farmhouse kitchen! They are nice and large and open at the bottom, so you can slip your hand inside. You can write your own message on them, making these potholders a very personal gift.
Material: Catania by Schachenmayr (cotton, yardage 125 m/50 g).

Crochet Pattern Advent Calendar Frau Holle

Frau Holle lives in a place that radiates warmth and comfort, with bright-colored shutters and rustic bedding in true country-house style.

During Advent, she closes the shutters in the evening and fills her bag with little surprises; she also leaves little messages. This Advent calendar is also wonderfully suited for the whole family.

No country-style kitchen is complete without crocheted pot holders. And flowers are, of course, a staple of country-style decor.

In the pattern, you’ll find both pot holders—separately as star and flower designs.

You should have the following skills:
  • Chain stitches
  • Single crochet
  • Double crochet, treble crochet, triple treble crochet
  • Slip stitches
Materials
  • Crochet hook size 3.5
  • Darning needle for weaving in the ends
  • Yarn: 50 grams per color, 100% cotton – Yarn length: 50 grams = approx. 125 meters, gauge: 10 x 10 cm = 26 stitches, 36 rows (I used Camilla by Buttinette here)

The farmhouse style is making a comeback, and rightly so, because there are so many wonderful things for it. I’d like to introduce you to two patterns from my shop:

The Bavarian heart pillow fits beautifully in traditional homes. It is mainly a decorative pillow, but you can also turn it over and use it as a regular pillow.

This heart with flowers also fits beautifully in farmhouse-style homes. It is also very easy for beginners to make, because you only need chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, and double crochet.

For me, country house style is rustic, cozy, and a little playful. That perfectly describes my round bobble basket. I can easily imagine storing your current craft supplies in it. In the meantime, the little basket can sit decoratively on a bench, waiting to be used.

If you'd like to crochet one, you'll find all the details on the product page.

I hope you enjoy this project - Ina

There is room in any hallway or even the smallest little room for this pretty rug. It is quick and easy to crochet from inexpensive acrylic yarn, even for crochet beginners. The back is rubberized so that it stays in place. You can find all further details on the product page.

I hope you have lots of fun with this project - Your Ina
