A truly wonderful weekend project is my new diaper pouch! You can crochet it (almost) entirely from simple granny squares! A diaper pouch is really a “must-have” with a baby, and this one is truly something very special, isn’t it? :-)

The weekend is here—yay! They say it’s supposed to rain again soon anyway, so how about a few cozy hours of crafting? A crocheted shawl is fun to make and keeps you cozy.

This triangular shawl is crocheted from sock yarn (though it doesn’t really matter what kind of yarn you use). It features a pretty lace pattern and a ruffled edge.

This infinity scarf is very relaxing to knit, and you’ll soon find plenty of use for it.

You can find the pattern here.

Knitted from merino wool (125 m per 50 g), it is a soft and cozy accessory that also looks very elegant. The pattern is simple. It consists of knit and purl stitches, with a few lace rows added in between to loosen it up.

For this doll cardigan, you’ll need about 20–25 g of sock yarn, a circular knitting needle and a set of size 4 double-pointed needles, as well as 3 buttons. You can knit the cardigan in any length you like in the doll mom’s favorite colors. That would be an ideal weekend project for you, wouldn’t it?

I hope you enjoy this handcraft. Yours, Ina

The reindeer coin purse is great gift packaging for little surprises or a cash gift. It’s crocheted from fluffy yarn (Maya by Woll Butt) or cotton (Catania by Schachenmayr) and can definitely be finished in a weekend, since it’s very easy to crochet. In addition to the yarn, you’ll need a clip purse clasp (about 8 x 4.5 cm) and a little stuffing.
You can find the pattern here!

A quick weekend project:
Crochet Hat for Everyone - very easy

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

A wonderfully easy-to-crochet hat for various styles, so ONE hat model wearable in all the pictured variations, for both men and women. Easy to make for children too, or as a simple hat for babies (though thinner yarn is recommended).

  • no increases or decreases,
  • for any yarn you like,
  • no gauge swatch (it doesn’t have to be exact to the cm),
  • possible in all sizes.

The PDF pattern includes pictures.

You need these crochet skills: chain stitches, single crochet.
Everything else and slip stitches are explained. Video link tips for learning to crochet for beginners are included in the PDF.

Materials: for the pictured model with a head circumference of 55 cm to 60 cm: approx. 250 g merino yarn, 50 g – 45 m, 6.0 mm crochet hook; measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.
The ribbed pattern requires approx. 50 g more yarn than is usually needed for hats. The crochet hook size should match the yarn being used.

This is also fun for the weekend:
Crochet pattern scarf/infinity scarf and headband PLAYFUL in an easy shell pattern

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

The scarf can also be sewn together and worn as an infinity scarf (wrapped twice around the neck), basically in any season . Add the matching headband and you have a pretty (gift) set.

Experienced crocheters can crochet both quickly in one weekend.

I made the set with summery cotton yarn, here Schachenmayr Cotton Bamboo, 50% cotton / 50% viscose,50 g – 120 m, needle size according to the label 3 - 4, crochet hook size 4.0 used here; gauge according to the label 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Please choose alternative yarns (e.g. Merino Extrafine 120 by Schachenmayr) according to the details above.

Yarn required / finished measurements:

  • 150 g for the scarf/infinity scarf: approx. 14 cm x 140 cm – length variable
  • 50 g for the headband - size variable
The 8-page PDF pattern includes pictures, but does require the following basic crochet skills:
chain stitches, double crochet, single crochet, crocheting in rows. A link with explanations of the basic skills is included in the PDF.

Difficulty level: easy – also suitable for advanced beginners.

Crochet pattern for a sweet little bag

The perfect project for the weekend, because you can finish it in just a few hours. The gift bag is great for many occasions. Wrap a small gift, attach it as an extra to a larger gift, or bring it along to a party with a small bottle of Piccolo and some snacks.
If you crochet the little bag a bit smaller and make 23 more, you can also create a wonderful Advent calendar. The bag works up fairly quickly.
I have explained everything step by step and in great detail in a 7-page PDF file with lots of pictures. This means beginners can also recreate these little bags very well and compare their results. There is also a small crochet school included in the appendix.

There is also a short version without pictures, 2 pages, for printing.

The gift bag is approximately 17.0 cm wide and 18.0 cm tall.

Material
  • Catania by Schachenmayr 125m/ 50g, 2 colors, about 55 g total
  • Crochet hook 3.0 mm (or as desired)
  • Sewing needle/darning needle
  • Scissors
What is crocheted
  • Chain stitch
  • Slip stitch
  • Single crochet
  • Double crochet
  • Half double crochet
Have fun!
