How about a little sunshine in the kitchen when it’s nowhere to be found outside? Pot holders can be wonderfully colorful, including yellow.

Take a look.

These are knitted in thick cotton, and the pattern is definitely suitable for beginners. It uses knit and purl stitches. This also means that the pot holders look the same on the front and back (except that the pattern slants in the other direction).
The pattern is written out row by row and is also shown in a knitting chart.

You can even carry the sun with you while shopping—with a knitted shopping bag!

You can find the pattern here.

It’s knitted from cotton—you’ll need two colors. The pattern is a simple slip stitch pattern.

You’ll need 2 skeins of sock yarn. The pattern itself is simple. It includes a few cables, but these are explained in a photo tutorial.

The sun smiles on gloomy days:

Knitted shirt/pullover “ALGARVE”

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Two in one pattern:sleeveless long shirt, ideal for leggings, and with sleeves, a cotton pullover knitted in a simple lace pattern . Because of the pattern, this results in ONE SIZE for women’s sizes 38–44. Smaller sizes can be worn “oversized.” Weight gain or loss is therefore no problem.

Material:
300 g (without sleeves) / 550 g (pullover) Austermann Algarve (100% cotton; 50 g – 142 m) for needle size 2.5–3.5; here: knitting needle 3.5, tape measure, scissors, yarn needle, row counter helpful but not absolutely necessary. Gauge according to ball band: 27 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

The PDF pattern contains the images from the image gallery (see above); no further images are included due to the simple cut.

Basic knitting knowledge is sufficient, including yarn over, knit 2 stitches together, slip-slip-knit 2 stitches together (explained).

Orange—it’s a rich fall color that still holds the warmth of the summer sun. The cute little pumpkin girl knows that too. That’s why she chose orange for her hat, bubble skirt, and shoes. In the last warming rays of sunshine, she dances happily around a big, juicy pumpkin.
The pumpkin girl is about 12 cm tall. Her arms and legs are movable so she can do lots of dance poses.
Crochet this pretty fall decoration—it’s really quick! Then the little girl can brighten up gloomy fall days for you.

Kuno the Little Pumpkin is also crocheted in a beautiful, bright orange.

You will receive a detailed 9-page pattern with many photos to help you make it. The finished pumpkin measures approx. 10 cm in height and 15 cm in width (when using the specified hook size and yarn weight).
very suitable for beginners

required skills:

The pattern does not include a basic course. You should already know how to crochet single crochet stitches, half double crochet, double crochet and treble crochet, post double crochet, as well as chain stitches and slip stitches.

You will also need:
  • Crocheted with hand-knitting yarn, needle size 3 - 4, yardage 133 m/50 g in the colors orange (1 skein of 50 g), apple green, white, pink & gray (a small amount is enough).
  • Crochet hook size 3.5
  • Threading needle, darning needle, stuffing

Noose, the Sun

Why is the cowl called “Noose”?
“noose” means a loop, and we wrap quite a bit of knitted fabric around our necks. This pattern is meant to explain exactly how to do that.

But first things first: this isn’t a pattern where you have to do a lot of counting—it’s more of a modular system. It explains exactly what to knit, how big the loop is, and how to crochet it together. The individual elements—such as flowers, spirals, etc.—are also described in detail. But it’s not a matter of “after xy stitches, add the flower element, then the strip element…” I’d rather encourage you to be creative. You don’t need to use exactly this yarn or this gauge either… anything similar will work.

Requirements/Difficulty Level:

Knitting: extremely easy (just stockinette stitch)
Crochet: medium. You should be familiar with various stitch types (everything from slip stitch to double crochet is used), but don’t worry—you can do it all, but you don’t have to ;-)

Now, here’s what materials I used:
  • 110 gr 8-ply sock yarn (this one is hand-dyed)
  • 30 g acrylic yarn of exactly the same weight
  • Size 6 knitting needles
  • Crochet hook size 5
  • Scissors
  • Sewing needle

Fall is pumpkin season! Whether as a delicious dish on the dinner table or as a decoration on your window—with their bright orange color, pumpkins are a delight to the eye and lift your spirits.

These four cheerful pumpkins are designed for your windows. They’re made of cardstock and tracing paper, measure about 20 x 18 cm, and are quick and easy to make—even for beginners.

Bring the golden autumn into your home with this clever storage basket!

What’s special about this little basket is the eye-catching woven pattern on the outside—it almost looks as if the basket were actually woven instead of crocheted—and the 5-sided base.
Thanks to the special construction, the storage basket is also especially sturdy—even without any wire at all!

To make this basket, you should already have a little experience and be able to work the following stitches : chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet. A short description is included for post treble crochet stitches and crab stitches.

In addition to the detailed step-by-step instructions, the pattern also includes a crochet chart for the woven pattern as well as numerous illustrations.

Make the gray days a little more colorful! You can find the pattern and more info here >>>
