here in this thread, all patterns can be presented that are easy and straightforward to make, meaning they require no counting and no gauge. That’s certainly practical.

You definitely don’t need a gauge for this shawl, because it can be knitted with any yarn you like. The gauge doesn’t matter at all; you simply knit for as long as you want.

Counting is a bit of a thing. Basically, the zigzag edge has a set number of stitches. But you can spare yourself the counting by using a stitch marker. Very easy and perfect for knitting while watching TV!

Uncomplicated crochet patterns

Houndstooth Potholders
this pattern is quick and easy to crochet; you work it nice and relaxed, row by row in the same way, and a wonderful potholder is created.
Ideal to give as a gift or keep for yourself.

You need:

• Yarn by Austermann / Soft Cotton / 50 g each white & black /
• Crochet hook size 5
• Scissors, thick sewing needle

Crocheted with:

• chain stitches
• single crochets
• double crochets
• slip stitches

The pattern is written without abbreviations and is really easy.
So even as a beginner, you can easily and quickly make this piece.

Scarf for Her and Him
This classic scarf is still just a scarf, so it is simply crocheted long, row by row.
The pattern is worked in 2 steps, and each one is relatively easy on its own. 

You can put the work aside and take it back out whenever you want to continue; without counting, you can get started again right away. A crochet project for relaxing in between, and it’s great that something so useful can come from it.

This is the material I used

• Chilana yarn by Wollkönig 200 g beige / 100 g red / 100 g teal
• Crochet hooks in sizes 2.5 and 4
• Scissors
• Thick needle
• Cardboard (for the tassels)

The scarf shown is 180 cm long and 32 cm wide; the size can also be easily changed.

it is crocheted with

• chain stitches
• slip stitches
• double crochets

The pattern is written without abbreviations and is easy to follow,
as many pictures support the individual steps.

Without a gauge swatch and with (almost) no counting, you can use the crochet pattern "Colorful Basket Parade" to quickly crochet pretty and practical baskets and storage baskets!

For the basic baskets, you only need to crochet single crochet and slip stitches!
The baskets are also ideal for using up leftover yarn!
For ambitious crocheters, the pattern includes 3 different pattern variations for the rim.
The pattern includes, among other things, several tutorials for the magic ring, invisible round ending, color changes, crocheting in yarn ends, etc.
