The yarn cake is 50% cotton and 50% polyacrylic and is a 4-ply yarn.
It’s available at www.traumgarne.eu.
Knit with size 3.5 circular needles.

Of course, the cape can be adjusted to your own size—that is, as long and/or wide as you like.

The only knitting skills required are knit and purl stitches as well as yarn overs, which makes the pattern suitable even for beginners.

Bangle Bracelets Made from PET Bottles - modern, colorful, and casual!

Here I’ll show you a special method for making stylish bangles quickly and easily
with very few materials.

All you need is an old PET bottle, some yarn and, for a
touch of glamour, a piece of rhinestone chain - and in no time you’ll have a truly
unique piece of jewelry. Also great as a gift or small present.

You can combine the bangles however you like. Whether it’s just one
bangle (perhaps a bit wider), two, or several bangles worn
at the same time - they always catch the eye. Depending on which
colors you use, these pieces can look either elegant (e.g.
in black and white) or cheerfully summery (colorful in pastel shades), etc.

Metal-free, flexible, and feather-light - making them very comfortable to wear.
Materials used: plastic from PET bottles, cotton (Catania Grande by Schachenmayr), rhinestone chain, jewelry glue.

The bangles are washable at 30 degrees in a laundry bag.

Detailed instructions as a PDF file with over 20 step-by-step photos.

Boldly colorful, this crochet scarf is made in a simple mesh pattern using sock yarn.

You can find the pattern here.

You'll need two 100 g skeins of sock yarn and a 3.5 mm crochet hook for it. Despite the thin yarn, the project works up quickly, and you can soon hold the finished result in your hands.
Cables are worked in between the mesh pattern sections to give the scarf a little stability. How to do this is explained in a photo tutorial.

Cheerful colors brighten the darkening winter days:

Knitting pattern for the SOFTY knitted dress without sleeves - all yarns

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

.. knitted quickly and easily in bulky yarns. A knitted dress like this also works well under an outdoor jacket ;-)

The short PDF pattern includes the pictures from the image gallery and is described over 6 pages so that this lovely piece can be adapted to your own individual measurements.

Material used here:
Austermann Softy (98% merino, 2% PAM) – hand wash, 50 g = 53 m yarn length, knitting needles 10.0 to 12.0 – here circular needle size 10, at least 80 cm cable length. Gauge according to ball band: 8 sts = 10 cm

  • Size XS/S 500 g
  • Size M       550 g
  • Size L        600 g
  • Size XL/XXL    700 g
Stitch markers, measuring tape, scissors, a second circular needle (or thread stitches onto a contrasting yarn) to put the stitches on hold, needle for weaving in ends.

Any yarns you like with the appropriate needle size are possible.

General knitting skills as well as knitting in rows and rounds and picking up stitches (= knitting on) are sufficient. A knitting course is not included, but link tips are.

Now, if that isn’t a “bright pop of color”:

Knitted Shirt/Sweater 'ALGARVE'

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Ideal with leggings: either as a sleeveless long shirt and/or with sleeves a cotton sweater knitted in a simple lace pattern. Thanks to the pattern, it comes out as ONE SIZE for women’s sizes 38–44. Smaller sizes can be worn “oversized.” Weight gain or loss is therefore no problem. This knitted piece also looks great in merino yarns.

Material used here:
300 g (without sleeves) / 550 g (sweater) Austermann Algarve (100% cotton; 50 g – 142 m) for needle size 2.5–3.5; here: knitting needle 3.5, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle, row counter helpful but not absolutely required. Gauge according to the ball band: 27 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

The PDF pattern contains the images from the image gallery (see above); due to the simple cut, no additional images are included.

Basic knitting skills are sufficient, including yarn over, knit 2 stitches together, slip 1, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over (explained).

These two owl pot holders will bring color to your kitchen! They were crocheted using Catania (cotton by Schachenmayr, 125 m/50 g) in the colors apple, signal red, peacock, and orange. The body is crocheted using single crochet stitches; the wings and belly feathers were crocheted using a scale pattern (explained in detail in the pattern).

Make felted slippers in all your favorite colors yourself! Pink ones for your daughter, neon green ones for your son. They are quick to knit—even for knitting beginners—and the washing machine takes care of the felting. I describe and show everything in the pattern in great detail. You can make all shoe sizes. And when the kids have outgrown them, you can simply knit them new ones.

How about a lovely colorful rug in all the colors of the rainbow, or whatever your yarn basket has to offer? No one else will have such a wonderful rug - a guaranteed one-of-a-kind piece. The back is rubberized so that it stays nicely in place.

The crochet pattern is also ideal for crochet beginners. You can make it in 2 different sizes (70 or 100 cm in diameter) - so it is perfect for a child's room.

I hope you really enjoy this project.

Who loves bright pink? For them, Flamingo Lady Lily is exactly the right decoration!

She feels at home anywhere she can strut around undisturbed: on a bookshelf, on a desk, in the bathroom... She also looks great as a plant pick.
You can crochet Lily from leftover pink and gray yarn. You’ll also need a little wire and stuffing.
Here’s the pattern!
