Raglan knitted from the bottom up:

Knitting pattern for a striped cotton short-sleeved cardigan

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

..in trendy stripes.

With a top underneath, this comfortable-to-wear cotton short-sleeved cardigan is ideal for transitional weather or summer evenings, or it can also be worn nicely with a thin turtleneck underneath.

The PDF pattern is illustrated over 23 pages.

These knitting skills are needed:
casting on stitches, knit and purl stitches, knitting stitches together, yarn over, emphasized decreases, and increases from the strand between stitches (explained with pictures).

Difficulty level: intermediate

We need
about 450 g total for sizes S to L of Catania (Schachenmayr) or Limone (Schoeller+Stahl), 100% mercerized cotton, label information: 50 g – 125 m yardage, needle size 2.5 – 3.5, gauge: 26 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm; color distribution as desired.  Used here: size 3.5 knitting needles, 3 stitch holders and 1 cable for putting stitches on hold, stitch markers and row counter (not absolutely required), pins for blocking, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.

This beautiful poncho looks great and is easy to knit in one piece from the neck to the hem using the top-down raglan method. The four raglan cables help guide the increases. The knitting pattern is also suitable for beginners who want to knit a raglan for the first time. I explain and demonstrate everything in great detail. The length of the poncho can be customized.

Materials:
700 g Olympia (100 g/100 meters) and a long size 8 circular knitting needle

I hope you enjoy making this project. Best wishes from Ina

Here’s the pattern

The “Kelli” raglan jacket is knitted from the top down, in one piece, and without seams.
This allows you to try on the piece at any time.
The pretty lace pattern on the back is a lovely contrast to
the stockinette stitch. The fit is slightly A-line and
is created at the back using increases.
