"Grande Abbraccio" is Italian and means: "The Big Hug", and that is exactly what this beautiful shawl does. With a wingspan of 2.15 m and a depth of 0.90 m, it completely "hugs" you.

It offers many different ways to wear it, whether as a scarf around your neck, as a stole, or as a shoulder shawl for cool evenings. You can crochet it from written instructions, or work from a crochet chart.

Materials needed:
  • A 4-ply, plied gradient yarn with a total yardage of approx. 1150 m was used here,
of course you can also make it with other yarns/wool
  • Any crochet hook suitable for the yarn (here size 3.5)

It’s about time to prepare for the cooler autumn days. You can easily finish these knitted wrist warmers in a weekend.

You’ll need some leftover sock yarn (approx. 90 m) and 3 mm knitting needles. The wrist warmers have a pretty little lace pattern that is fun to knit.

A set consisting of a loop scarf and a hat makes for relaxing crafting hours.

You can find it here.

Both the hat and the loop scarf are knitted in the same pattern using sock yarn. The pattern has a bit of an aha effect, but it isn’t difficult to knit.

Hands up for the weekend! The last weekend of August—and with it, the last of that summer feeling—is rolling our way. You can capture that feeling with this little flip-flop dish sponge and use it for doing the dishes this fall and winter. It’s crocheted using creative bubble yarn from Rico Design (a similar yarn from Rellana is just hitting the market—you can use that, too). The flip-flops make the perfect little gift—for example, for those spending their vacation at home who want to give friends and relatives a “souvenir” from their “staycation.”

The pattern explains step-by-step how to crochet the flip-flop. The design is tailored to its specific use and avoids the need to weave in many loose ends. In the end, only two loose ends need to be woven in.

The pattern is suitable for beginner crocheters. Only basic stitches are used.

In addition to the yarn, you’ll need a 4.0 or 3.5 mm crochet hook, a darning needle, and a pair of scissors.

The simple, quick-to-crochet pattern makes this shawl absolutely suitable for beginners.

Airy and elegant triangular shawl to snuggle into and feel good in.

Cozy-soft, wonderfully loose and soft, versatile, and incredibly chic.

The crocheted shawl can be made with different yarns. Here
a Woolly Hugs BOBBEL-COTTON (50% cotton, 50% polyacrylic, yardage =
800 m/200 g) in color no. 01 was used. It was crocheted with a
3.0 mm crochet hook.

The shawl has a length of approx. 190 cm / height approx. 90 cm. Since the pattern
is very simple and repeats every 2 rows, the shawl can be made in
any size you like.

Suitable for beginners.

Required prior knowledge: chain stitch, single crochet, and treble crochet
Detailed description as a PDF file with text, crochet chart, and step-by-step photos.

This takes you directly to the pattern

A beautiful shawl that brings summer, sun, the sea, and vacation to mind. Unique and sophisticated. In the pattern you will find a knitting chart as well as all instructions in written form.

What you should know to knit this shawl:casting on, knit stitches, purl stitches, yarn overs, increases from the strand between stitches, and slipped stitches passed over. You will need:Materials:Yarn: Madelinetosh Merino Light (100% merino, 100 g / 384 m) 1 skein. You can also use another yarn that has
about the same gauge and is knitted with 4 mm needlesNeedles: size 4 mm circular needle. Other: 4 stitch markers, yarn needle, and optionally a row counter. Gauge: 20 stitches and 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking. Gauge is not important
for this project. However, a different gauge may result in a
larger or smaller shawl, and the yarn usage will
change.

Cutting out and assembling the many paper flower pieces is downright meditative and a perfect relaxing activity for the weekend. And since you only need small scraps of photo cardstock, you can even take your project outside and enjoy one of the last warm days while you craft.

With this pattern, you’ll get template drawings for 3 flower shapes, each in 5 to 7 sizes ranging from about 3 to 7.5 cm, as well as circle templates for flower centers. The flowers are very easy to make and are ideal for beginners as well as for crafting with children.
