Dear users, dear designers,
leftover yarn patterns are practical; you can start crafting right away without having to go shopping first. This thread is about blue leftover yarn. I’m excited to see what you come up with.
Have fun making them.

@Designers,
2-3 patterns per designer are enough.
Don’t forget the link and image, as well as material info, technique info, difficulty level info, and details about what makes the pattern special.

A leftover of sock yarn (approx. 90 m) is enough for these knitted wrist warmers, which feature an attractive openwork pattern as a special eye-catcher. They’re easy to knit, and a tutorial with pictures explains exactly how to make the holes.

You can find the pattern here.

A tiny little leftover bit of cotton is enough for a small bookmark like this. Knitting time approx. 1 hour. I have to warn you, these things can be addictive.

Here’s the pattern.

Still have some leftover sock yarn? Then this would be something for you:

Knitting pattern for baby socks with cable

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

These sweet baby socks with a cable, knitted from 4-ply sock yarn, e.g. especially soft cashmere sock yarn (Comfort sock yarn) or alpaca sock yarn (by ApuKuntur), are especially temperature-regulating and cuddly soft.

They can also be repurposed e.g. as “packaging” for gifts of money, jewelry, or similar items . I once packaged my wedding cash gift like this.

Included in the download :
  • PDF knitting pattern, 18 pages (actually already a sock-knitting course), detailed and illustrated for size 15 (newborns); larger sizes can easily be knitted according to the included table information
  • PDF supplementary handwritten sketch
  • PDF baby sock size table for sizes 15–20
  • PDF sock size table from size 22 (up to 47)
Required materials: for sizes 15 to 22 approx. 15 g 4-ply sock yarn (leftover yarn), set of double-pointed needles size 2.5, cable needle, tape measure, scissors, yarn needle.

This cute wrap bracelet is crocheted in no time. An eye-catcher on any wrist. Super comfortable
to wear—lightweight and trendy. Also a great gift or little present.

The bracelet is crocheted in one piece, so there’s no annoying weaving in of ends (only the starting and ending tails). So grab some yarn
and a crochet hook and get started.

Here’s the pattern

Material:
  • Anchor Aida crochet thread
  • 1.5 mm crochet hook
  • Sewing needle
Required prior knowledge: chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet
Detailed description as a PDF file.

You can conjure up a wonderful mermaid outfit for Barbie dolls from blue leftover yarn in no time. The fishtail is made with a shell stitch that's very easy to crochet. Even crochet beginners can manage it! For the top and hair accessory, you'll need a little pink yarn (or another pastel color). If you want it to look especially splendid, you can sew a few beads or sequins onto the fishtail.
Here’s the pattern!
