A detailed crochet chart—printed large—makes crocheting the pattern easier. It is crocheted from cotton with a yardage of 125 m per 50 g.

This belt bag is very practical, especially when your clothes don’t have pockets. It looks very decorative, and you can store your essentials inside. For example, I always wear it with leggings.

The bag is big enough to hold a tissue and even a cell phone.

I’d rate the difficulty as medium. You should already have some experience with crocheting.
Every step is explained in detail across 23 pages with 59 photos. The belt is 8 cm wide and can be adjusted to any size.

Click here for the crochet pattern for the belt bag.

This is also a model made from thin parcel twine:

Crochet pattern for a simple eco mesh bag Bernau #3

(Please click the image to purchase/download)

This mesh bag is crocheted from approx. 140 m of thin parcel twine (100% hemp; 200 g – 160 m yardage), in rounds from bottom to top using a size 6.0 crochet hook. If you like, you can crochet a little colorful heart or similar; for this, use a leftover bit of yarn for the little heart with a crochet hook size that matches the yarn.

  • any desired size possible (yarn usage varies depending on size)
  • any desired yarn possible (depending on the yarn weight and crochet hook size used, only the size changes)
  • basic crochet skills are sufficient
Finished measurements here:
unstretched/lying flat: approx. 25 cm high x 32 cm wide, i.e. circumference approx. 64 cm. The bag is very stretchy in the mesh area – it can hold quite a lot!

Included in the download :

  • 8-page PDF crochet pattern mesh bag (in written form, progress photos added after the written pattern)
including illustrated instructions for a little crochet heart
