I’ve come up with quite a few new ideas for 2015 as well, and you can look forward to them.

There will be the Knuffelys and Schnuffely—cute amigurumi figures to play with or simply to look at.
You can also expect some great piggy banks; here I’ll show you the “Fox” piggy bank.
That makes saving money even more fun—and not just for the little ones.

Starting 01/01/2015, these ebooks will be available, among others

It looks like there will be plenty of new and lovely patterns here on Crazypatterns in 2015 as well.
I have a question for the sellers: Do you generally plan at the end of the year roughly how many patterns you want to create in 2015, or does it depend on the ideas that come to mind? How long do you typically spend working on a pattern before it’s ready for sale?
How can you tell when a pattern is “really good” and might become a hit?
I’m not a seller or vendor myself, so I have no idea about that. If my questions seem too nosy, feel free to just scroll past them or something. ;)
I’d love it if you could tell us a little about the background.

well, I have a sketchbook where I scribble down ideas, and I work through them little by little :) Unfortunately, I come up with more ideas than I can work through, but I don’t set a fixed number of patterns ..... it just varies, and I also have small children ... when they’re sick, nothing gets done anyway


I work on a pattern for different lengths of time, depending on what it is. Some are finished within 1 week, some take 5x as long, then they go to my testers, and depending on how fast my girls are it takes another 1-3 weeks, then I correct mistakes (about 1-3 more days) ..... until it goes on sale.



I haven’t had a real bestseller yet, so I can’t say much about that ...... I think maybe my crochet items are too unusual, or I’m too unknown, I have no idea what the reason is, but I have 6 regular customers, and that really makes me very happy.

Dear friends, it looks like 2015 is shaping up to be another colorful year with lots of wonderful new patterns. I think it must be very rewarding to have a talent for creating patterns, because you get to do what you love—namely, crafting—while also earning money from it and brightening other people’s days with your patterns. Hi,
I’m new here and have just posted two sewing patterns. I’ve noticed there’s a large crochet community here with some really cute patterns. While I also love crocheting and knitting, sewing is what I’m really hooked on. Right now, I’m working on a pattern for a round, quilted sewing supply organizer with a zipper that opens up and has inner pockets, as well as a kids’ backpack. In the next few days, I’ll be posting a table runner and a small zippered bag. And well, I still have plenty of ideas.

I’m also working on “Summer 2015.” It’ll still be a while before those flip-flops are actually wearable...

Busy, busy. At least now I know what my better half will be spending the hard-earned money on again. ;-)
