Praise and Criticism

Hello, dear Crazypatterers!

First of all, I’d like to give a huge shout-out to the creators of these mostly fantastic patterns. I’m constantly amazed by all the creative ideas people come up with here and turn into such beautiful patterns!
I’ve been able to make my grandchildren—and even my wife—beam with joy time and time again whenever I’ve found another great pattern here and brought it to life.
Thank you so much for all this creativity and the lovingly crafted patterns!

Now for the criticism:
It’s unfortunately become a recurring issue for me—not just here on Crazypatterns, but across the rest of the internet as well (though it particularly annoyed me here today)—that there are people who can’t stand to see others enjoy even a small success and post stupid comments with references (in this case, even including a link!) to supposedly “identical” and “free” patterns on YouTube or elsewhere.
This casts the work of the pattern authors in a completely false light, and it also gives the impression that someone has “stolen” something.
Just leave those kinds of comments alone!

I know which comment you’re referring to, and it annoyed me too.

All the authors do a wonderful job; some items just look similar, but they aren’t the same.
