Key chains / bag charms as last-minute gifts—even with an owl and totally on-trend

Hi everyone,
right now you can find tips for last-minute gifts everywhere—in magazines and online.
I actually started a thread just a few days ago:

but I thought I’d mention bag charms and keychains separately, because they’re usually fairly small and quick to make, and as far as I can tell, there are lots of them—or patterns for them—in the Crazypatterns shop. So I thought I’d start another thread about it, in case anyone is still looking for a little something or wants to make a nice gift tag themselves.
If you start today or tomorrow, you’ll be done by Christmas. I’ll just say that, even though I’m definitely not a super crocheter.
I’d be happy if anyone finds my tip useful.
You could definitely make something with an owl, too—I think we have lots of keychains with owls here in the Crazypatterns shop, and owls are still trendy and all that. :)

So, if I understand this correctly, professional crafters and advanced crafters make pretty little projects in advance?
Hmm. Well, then I’m neither a pro nor advanced—I still end up unraveling most of what I crochet afterward because I don’t like it after all; it just looks too much like a beginner’s work, and then I feel bad about the pretty yarn. Maybe that could actually be a goal for 2015
—to learn to crochet well enough that I no longer have to, or want to, unravel my work.
