This crocheted planter cover with butterflies is a particularly decorative gift wrap for potted flowers.

The crochet pattern describes every step, and plenty of detailed photos make it easy to follow. Even beginners can manage it well.

And best of all: it can be crocheted in no time at all. So you can quickly create a gift wrap that is also part of the gift itself.

Crochet pattern Christmas decoration as a money gift

Money gifts and gift cards for Christmas are becoming more and more popular, but they are also considered impersonal.
With this fun Christmas decoration, you can present your paper gift in an original and practical way. After the sack has been emptied, the whole thing can still be used as decoration.

The pattern is well suited for beginners and quick to make.

Details & pattern

To make it, you will need:
  • white, red, black, and brown cotton (I used up my leftovers of gründl Cotton Quick)
  • plush yarn in white and green
  • crochet hooks in sizes 2.5 and 5
  • picture frame size 18 x 24 cm (available inexpensively at a Scandinavian furniture store)
  • scissors, sewing needle, pins
  • possibly glue or a hot glue gun

At weddings, money is usually given as a gift. With this lovely gift packaging, you’ll really steal the show! The bride and groom are crocheted around an empty Kinder Surprise egg capsule, into which you can place the money or a voucher. You can crochet the bride and groom using leftover yarn. You can easily customize their appearance (hairstyle, hair color, maybe glasses or a beard) so they resemble the real bride and groom. You’ll see—this money gift is sure to be a hit!

Are you invited to a birthday party and want to bring a bottle of wine? Then choose an original gift wrap! The crocheted lucky pig is a bottle wrap that immediately shows you’re wishing the recipient “lots of luck” for the coming year. It can later be used as a table decoration (for example, on New Year’s Eve).
The pig is very easy to crochet. You’ll need about 100 g of pink cotton yarn (Catania), a 3 mm crochet hook, some stuffing, and googly eyes.

Small gifts help keep friendships alive and bring a smile to the heart.
A heartfelt gift package for smaller gifts comes in the form of these little heart boxes.

With the appropriate height, wine bottles can also be given in them. Or they can be used as a sweet jewelry box.

The heart box consists of two halves that fit well inside each other and is ideal for money gifts or other small surprises. There are many possibilities.

It is easy and quick to crochet and the material needed is minimal, making it perfect for clearing out a little space in your leftover yarn box.

The pattern includes 13 pages with many step-by-step pictures, so even beginners should be able to find their way around easily.

Required basic skills:
  • chain stitches
  • single crochet stitches
  • slip stitches
  • double crochet

This family of gnomes not only looks very cute, but they also have plenty of great and useful features:

  • You can use them to wrap gifts (e.g., money, jewelry, candy, and much more).
  • They’re a huge hit as egg cozies.
  • They make a sweet little gift for young and old alike.
  • They can hold your knitting and crochet supplies, such as buttons.
  • They can also store jewelry inside their bodies.
  • They also make great Advent calendars.
  • They’re a huge hit at kids’ birthday parties and are sure to bring lots of joy.
  • And of course, they’re also a great toy for kids.
And best of all: wherever these cute little gnomes are placed, they spread joy and good cheer! :-)

I’d describe the difficulty level as easy. You just need a little patience and dexterity to shape the faces.

Beginners with the basic skills mentioned here can recreate these gnomes very easily and quickly.

The individual steps are described in detail in the pattern. The PDF file is 21 pages long and includes 53 individual photos.

This gnome house is an unusual and funny gift wrap at the same time. It’s easy and quick to crochet with the pattern if you have basic crochet skills.

There are no limits to your imagination when it comes to what goes inside the gnome house. For example, in my case this house holds my yarn. Since the door is open at the top, all those little things like needles or buttons can be stored in it.

For children, the house is a brilliant toy—together with the gnomes, which are also available in my shop. And at breakfast, the gnome house instantly puts everyone in a good mood when the rolls are hidden inside it.

You can also leave off the face if you like. Even as a house without decoration, it looks very decorative and is a real hit as gift wrap.
